Guestbook comments from the owner

Our family has been coming here annually for so many years, we feel as if Timber Ridge Lodge is our vacation home. Thank you for taking such good care of this special place. We expect to spend many more family gatherings here. Staying anywhere else just wouldn't do. This little valley is so scenic - a little bit of heaven.

Wonderful setting. Plenty of room for our multi-generational family vacation. Kids loved playing by the creek. Adults enjoyed siting on the deck. Close to Hill City and the sights of the Black Hills.

Owner's Response: We appreciate your review of our property. Thanks for taking the time to let others know how your stay was. The location was one of the main reasons we acquired the property. The setting is secluded and private, yet you are less than 2 miles from downtown Hill City. Please come join us as guests again. You are always welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Timber Ridge.

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at many vacation rentals and were most impressed with this one. Normally we bring all kinds of kitchen amenities such as electric griddles or spices for cooking or things like saran wrap. Here all of this is provided. Even body wash in the shower and laundry pods for washing clothes was available. We didn't need to run to the store for anything except food and drink.

The house is in a very quiet rural area, yet very close to Hill City and all the surrounding activities the Black Hills has to offer. We routinely saw deer from the house. The kids kept busy playing horseshoes, volleyball and basketball. The adults hung out on the porch and chatted.

Everyone loved their stay here. I highly recommend it. We'd love to return to this house on our next visit to the Black Hills.
