This was our 6th trip to Aruba and 3rd home we have rented on the island. We have a new favorite! The house is well-appointed, comfortable, and located in a beautiful gated community. Loved the private pool which was the perfect size and the beautiful and colorful neighborhood landscaping which is a stark contrast to the dessert terrain on the island. The neighborhood is high end and very quiet. Loved the outside automatic lights which ensured we never returned to a dark house. The morning sunrise from the master balcony was a great way to start each day. Turn off the air and sleep with the 2nd floor patio doors open for a spectacular breeze. Received a call from the owner shortly after arrival just to check on us and make sure everything was OK and to see if we had questions. We’ll be back!

Great View of the Hudson

Our small group of 6 friends (thats the max that can stay at the property and it's a very strict policy), stayed at this house as a hub while we attended a wedding at Red Maple Farm nearby (10 min drive which was great!). The house is beautiful and has a very interesting layout, especially for the bedrooms upstairs. (One friend had to pass through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom at night so make sure your group is really comfortable with each other!). The kitchen was great and fully equipped. The sitting areas were cozy and spacious. We did a lot of text and phone communication with the host in advance to learn the rules so it's not such a hands-off experience. But the host was always responsive via text or call whenever we had a question. There is a very clear and full instruction bible to follow. There were nice accommodations for kids. We didn't have any with us but the parents of the group liked that those amenities are available in case we want to return to the area.

Amazing Vacation Home

We just returned from an amazing trip to Aruba. This home was perfect for our two families... 4 adults and five children. It was nice to have two king bedrooms upstairs for the adults, while the kids took the downstairs rooms. All bedrooms have en suite baths which is great. We enjoyed coffee by the pool each morning and the kids spent lots of time swimming day and night. The home is equipped with everything you may need- from kitchen supplies to a great outdoor grill to loads of beach towels, coolers and chairs, linens, etc. The wireless wifi easily accommodated four adults and four teenagers with no issues! The community of Tierra del Sol is lovely and we enjoyed several walks in the evenings. We did not utilize the golf course or other amenities, but a brief tour of the common areas told us it is very well maintained. We would have loved to fit in spa day but ran out of time. We felt extremely safe within the community and actually everywhere on the island. All of our communications with the owners and property manager were promptly responded to and both were very helpful in planning our stay. Thank you for a very smooth rental process and and excellent vacation! We hope to return again in the near future!

Amazing property

We traveled to Aruba with our grown children and a friend. The location was very close to a lot of activities and only minutes from three step beach where we could swim with sea turtles. Security of the neighborhood made us feel very save however all of Aruba is safe. We enjoyed breakfast every morning out by the pool. Lower bedroom mattresses are a little hard - would be great for young children.

Five Star Location and View, But Not Five Star House

This house is beautifully situated overlooking the Hudson River, with a view that is wonderful day and night. Quiet and private, the house is ideally located on a dead end street, off a seldom traveled road. Yet it is only a few minutes drive to groceries and within one half hour of many charming Hudson Valley towns and attractions (Highland is not one of them, though). The house itself would be okay for a casual, youngish group. On the plus side, the common areas (entry, living room, den, eat-in kitchen), as well as the master bedroom, are spacious. The kitchen is large enough and has sufficient equipment for basic cooking and dining. The outdoor deck and outdoor furniture are also very nice features. The wifi capability is fine. On the minus side, the house feels only surface clean. Some of the appliances -- such as the dishwasher, washer and dryer -- are dated and dilapitated: the top load washer was hard on shirts, and we had to scrub cutlery, etc. before placing them in the dishwasher. Neither of the full baths has a towel bar, so we ended up having to air dry towels on the stair railings. Some bedrooms have ample dresser space, others don't. Older children would fare fine in this house, but not babies, toddlers, or folks with mobility issues. Both sets of stairs from the first to second floors pose difficulties. The treads on the main staircase are shallow and slippery; after my small dog tumbled both going up and down, we ended up having to carry him most times. I decided not to carry my new grand baby on these stairs. The very long and steep driveway may also pose problems for some people since renters must bring garbage and recycling bins to the street and back weekly. So it's a mixed bag. Some people may think the terrific view and location are worth the house's deficits; others, like me, would prefer a sparkling clean, updated, well appointed house over view/location.

Perfect for us!

This house is very nice in a lovely neighborhood and a convenient drive to everything. Takes about 8 minutes to get to all the restaurants. The neighborhood is in a really safe area, but I liked that it is gated with a guard and the house has an alarm. This house is not new, but well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and drink, but except for salt/pepper you'll need to buy everything else. We loved the pool area! Bring your own floats. The few issues we had were dealt with immediately by Jova the Manager and fixed quickly. I requested some extra towels and mats and she brought them the same day and checked on us during our stay to make sure we were happy. There are plenty of nice beach chairs, towels and a cooler. We had a great time staying at this house!

Great space for large groups

This is not an A property. That being said, it Is situated in a high end development. The location is close to good beaches and snorkeling, the high rise hotels & casinos, and a good selection of restaurants. A car is a must. The pool is nice, the grill worked flawlessly, kitchen is adequate and the ice maker kept up with 8 of us. The individual room air conditioners are a brilliant idea. Washer and dryer are huge (detergent not included) and the supply of beach/pool towels was amazing. Enough beach chairs for everyone. There is a phone to make long distance calls to the states which was much appreciated when we had an emergency at home. The Wi-Fi worked great. We could see the sunset every night from the upstairs patio or by taking a walk up the street. At night we would walk to the golf course area, get above the lights and could see the stars. Stargazing on the island is not an easy thing to do. There were some negatives. The room with the double bed is VERY small. Bathroom in the second master doesn't have a usable outlet. Furniture in the bedrooms is sparse. Sheets were well worn and no one was praising the mattresses. No furniture on either upper deck. No pool toys other than a new double float and some moldy single floats. Patio table only seats 4. Didn't use the large table out past the grill. The kitchen was missing some very basic items that are normally found on VRBO properties, including things usually left by previous tenants, i.e. spices & seasonings (salt & pepper was a set of picnic shakers), sugar, cooking oil, shopping bags (you have to take your own) . . . We used the club pool a couple of times (it is beautiful) but keep in mind that the owner does not have actual access to the club. The owner and the property manager are nice to work with. It may have been the time of year but we never met the manager or received a walk through of the house. There were no instructions on the security system, pool, automatic lights, central air or check-out procedures. The property had recently received repairs to the stucco and there was stucco and concrete chunks and splatter everywhere on the back and upper patios. It was splattered on windows, the glass table top, chair cushions and you couldn't walk without stepping on rocks. The house lacks an attention to detail. It is definitely a rental property and is treated as such.

We had great communication with the property owners/caretakers throughout the whole process. The property was clean , roomy, accommodating. The pool was awesome. Plenty of chairs and a clean pool. If I had just one knock on the place it would be that the beds were uncomfortable. We all felt safe in the gated community. WiFi in the house worked well. I would highly recommend getting a rental car.

A Perfect Fit

We just returned from our visit to Aruba and it was terrific. This home is perfect for our family. It is so nice to have a full kitchen to prepare breakfast in and relax by the pool in the backyard. The house has everything that you will need for your stay. We used the grill on a few nights and had excellent steaks and grilled vegetables. Sometimes it is nice to forgo eating out and just have a nice family dinner. The bedrooms all have their own baths and you have plenty of privacy. Each has its own air conditioner so you can control your comfort level. Our favorite part of the house was the pool in the backyard. We would go out to see Aruba's beaches during the morning and then come back in the afternoon for swimming and lounging. The pool is serviced twice a week so it was always clean and the water temp was perfect! The owners were fabulous to deal with. They answered all of our pre-trip questions and provided us with recommendations of things to do on the island. We highly recommend staying at this home as it was comfortable, safe and welcoming. We will be back soon!

Spacious, Clean and Safe

Aruba is a perfect vacation spot if you are looking for guaranteed good beach weather. If you are searching for a place to stay, consider this rental. This spacious home, in Tierra del Sol has access to tennis and golf, and has all the amenities of home. It is great for families with small children and/or teenagers, for girls getaways, or for couples getaways. It is private but located close to the beach, supermarket and activities. On the way to the beautiful Arashi beach (a few minutes drive away) is a safe rocky area where you and your older kids can enjoy jumping off the cliff into the water, and snorkel along the coast. There is a windsurfing school just 10 minutes from the house, and Eagle beach (less than 15 minutes away) is where you can enjoy a number of other water-sport activities. You can book a deep-sea fishing trip and then grill your catch at the house! This home is modern, nicely furnished and maintained, and is located in a gated community. All 4 bedrooms (each with own en suite) have ample room (enough for a crib) and lots of closet space. Our family of 7 fit comfortably, and there is room for more! The home has an awesome outdoor grill, a kitchen that is fully equipped, a new washer/dryer, and AC in every room. There is cable TV, a local Aruba land-line, Wifi access, and a separate phone to make calls in the US. The outdoor area is large and well-maintained. There is ample deck space with several lounge chairs around the pool. There is an outside shower and 2 comfortable eating areas near the pool. The gazebo is a lovely area to enjoy a meal. This home has all the amenities and beats any hotel or time-share. It is clean, spacious and safe. We have made this a destination for the last 3 years. It is great home away from home.

Everything You Could Possibly Imagine And More

My family and I stayed here for the first time and couldn't have been happier!!! The house is absolutely beautiful, spacious, had all the amenities, and lacked nothing. We truly enjoyed making our memories in the swimming pool with our kids and grandchildren. The evenings were perfect for grilling out and eating under the gazebo. My husband and I will be making this our vacation location when we plan our next trip to Aruba!!!!

Absolutely Top Notch Vacation Rental

My family and I stayed here during school vacation week with 3 teenagers a newborn and 3 adults and there was still room to spare!! The house was very clean, organized, well furnished, with all the amenities you could possibly need. The pool was so refreshing after a long day at the near by Arashi Beach. We cooked in several nights and my husband loved the grill so much he still talks about how well maintained it is. If you are planning a trip to Aruba I would definitely consider this home over a resort or time share....so much more for your money, and you can always go visit the resorts. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Best family vacation we have had, can't wait to go back!

Just What We Wanted And Wow Are We Happy

We have stayed for the last three years at this lovely home with a couple of our friends now up to six of us.The rooms and layout are very spacious and flow quite well,The Photos and color scheme show off this home beautifully. Your new home away from home has it all: Air, Beautiful Views, Pool, Indoor Outdoor Cooking Area. Eat in the Dinning Room,At the Kitchen Counter,By the Pool,or under the stars at the Gazebo. Nearby is the Sun, Beautiful Beaches, Windsurfing, Scuba, Shopping at the New Mall or Downtown,Supermarkets, Fantastic Restaurants,Casinos.Tennis Courts are down the street,Golf across the street,also it is a nice area to walk around.But a little hilly Great Day trips around the Island and water everywhere, After all this a Nap in any one of the Four Bedrooms or by the Pool,A shower without the wait. Then on to Cocktails on the Upper or Lower Decks. You'll also have TV's and Internet Service for those who start suffering withdrawl.
