Contemporary Hudson Valley home

Our home is a 1970s architectural gem located in the convenient upstate NY town of Staatsburg. It has been thoughtfully modernized and designed to encourage maximum serenity and enjoyment of both the indoor and outdoor spaces. The floating staircase, huge picture windows, expansive deck and wooded outdoor space make this home perfect for an upstate getaway - while still being close to some of the major area attractions and towns. Our historic street also features 1700s homes and a farm/brewery.

Stylish, light-filled, comfortable, quiet home, within an easy 10-minute drive of so many interesting historic sites, beautiful hikes, great restaurants and fun shopping. Also perfect for just relaxing inside or out on the covered deck or peaceful backyard. Well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable furnishings, easy check-in, plenty of parking. Would definitely stay here again. A little more weathered than the pictures show, but that didn't take away from our stay. Just note that with the "floating" staircase I wouldn't recommend for small children or people with mobility issues.

This home was perfect for our stay. It was spacious and clean. There is beautiful outside space which was a bonus! It is a unique property which has been renovated. It is an older home, so there are typical creaks and groans which one would expect -- not an issue for us. The kitchen was well stocked with quality equipment and basic supplies. The living space is up a set of stairs, which might prove slightly challenging for someone with mobility issues. Again, not an issue for us. One of the bedrooms is en-suite; the other two have the second bath right across the hall. The beds and the furnishings were very comfortable. Plenty of parking is available in the driveway. The hosts were very responsive. This home was perfect for our needs.
