  • Great place!

"Thank you Walter and Linda for letting us stay at your house. It's a great place to spend a summer vacation with family and friends. We not only loved the historic but modern house with everything you need, but also the location near beaches and towns like Mystic, Noank and Newport. We even went sailing at the yacht club!"

  • Lovely home a block from the beach

"I have rented many homes in the Crescent Beach area as did my father before me. This particular house was just up the block from private Crescent Beach and the snack shack. And because it sits up high on a high, you can see Niantic Bay. The house is very comfortable with 3 nice size bedrooms. Two bedrooms each have a queen bed and have air-conditioning and the third bedroom as a pair of twin beds, walk-in closet and a window box fan and a table fan. In total, the house comfortably sleeps 6. The house has two bathrooms each with a shower/bath, however, the upstairs tub needs repairing so is unusable at the time we rented. There is also a washer and dryer in the first floor bathroom. The kitchen is small but fully equipped. There is a small pantry filled with everything you might need in the kitchen including a Keurig and toaster. My recommendation would be to clear out some of the lesser important things to make room for dry groceries -- a small challenge. We shifted some things around to make room for our dry goods. There's a dining area and a very comfortable dining room with a Blu-ray player, nice tv, air-conditioning and good wi-fi. Also, a very large leather L-shaped couch so when we had the cousins over, they all had space to sit and watch a movie. The backyard is spacious and has an out door shower. There is also a very nice and very large barbecue grill. It came in very handy when we invited my brother and his wife and 3 kids over for dinner which we took turns doing during our 2-week stay. My greatest joy came from the birdfeeder. The house has 2 in the backyard but I only kept one full. I immensely enjoyed watching the birds come to the feeder. We also were pleasantly surprised that there's a groundhog that visits the yard regularly. We've never seen one in the wild so it was quite the treat for us city slickers. I would rent this property again, if possible. Excellent location, very agreeable and available owner who lives close by and the perfect weather made our stay very, very excellent and we hope to come back."

  • Niantic, East Lyme Ct Beach House

"My husband and I rented this property from August 1 to August 26, 2016. The house was comfortable, well-stocked with a great view especially from the upstairs porch. This is an excellent location for day trips or half day trips to the the surrounding towns and parks. The owners responded to any concerns we had and went out of their way to check regularly in case we needed some assistance. Wi Fi access was good as was the TV. We enjoyed the quaint Niantic Cinema; they had the latest movies and are near the local restaurants. You can walk to the beach, one side is private, a very nice sandy beach, for the residents and the other is part of Rocky Neck State Park. You can drive and park in a lot with the beach pass that comes with the rental. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, grilling out on the gas grill, sitting on the porch and going for walks. I found it a wonderful space to work a my book project and just relax away from the city life. We would definitely rent this property again and recommend it to friends and family."

  • Adorable, authentic home close to the bay!

"John is currently remodling the home. The updated featues in the kitchen are beautiful. The home was uncluttered, the kitchen was very well-stocked, linens were clean and fresh, and beach chairs were provided. Crescent beach is 2 blocks from the house and no beach tags are required. We would recommend this home for couples, families, and girls weekends! We would not recommend this home for older people or people with disabilities. All the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are very steep. Our dog had trouble navigating the steps but he enjoyed the large yard and getting his paws in the sand."
