This unique, dome-shaped, pet-friendly home in the serene forest of Blue River is just 7 minutes from downtown Breckenridge. The cabin is right next to the bus route! Surrounded by tall alpine trees, boasting multiple skylights, as well as an updated kitchen and plenty of games and movies, Starlit Retreat feels as if you are in a cozy, modern treehouse in the summer and a snow globe in the winter.

Starlit Retreat has a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of extras and features new appliances and granite countertops. The beds are both queen with comfy duvets and plenty of pillows. With all of the comforts of home, you can just relax and enjoy.

Not only is the cabin close to Breckenridge but also Vail, Copper and Keystone. Spend all day on the mountain, come back to warm up by the electric fireplace or outdoor fire pit.

My husband and I and our 2 pups drove to Breckenridge from California to meet up with our friend from Kenya doing the brec Epic mountain bike stage race. We had a great time and loved the location and house - the house had everything we needed and was dog friendly . We were able to take our dogs on some lovely walks nearby and appreciate the quietness.

Very Cute, Nice location.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was decorated very nice. We skied Copper Mountain and it was an easy 30 minute drive. It was close to Breckinridge downtown, which made going out easy.

The home is in a neighborhood, so you feel like your in the woods. No highway visible:).The master has a skylight that you can see the stars at night. Don’t worry. The bed is positioned that it doesn’t blind you in the morning.

Cozy get away

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was such a relaxing atmosphere and the location was great. Definitely would recommend and hope to check it out during the winter months as well!

Fall break!

What a beautiful home! It was perfect for us! Close to Main Street and gorgeous trails minutes near by. We were amazed at the coziness and cute decor! It was like staying in a home that’s featured on tv! Will definitely will need to go back again!

I wanted to find a place to celebrate my 30th and this rental was perfect! 10 minutes from the slopes, comfortable accommodations, and the host had very easy to follow instructions for checking in and getting settled. Will definitely be booking with them again!

True mountain getaway

Loved being right in the middle of a peaceful forest and hearing Blue River rush by across the street. The cabin has a warm welcoming atmosphere. Took us only 7 minutes to get to town and loved being so close to Main Street but far enough to feel secluded.

We’ll be back!

Super cozy and comfortable place just a few minutes from Main Street. We came with our two dogs and they were very comfortable there as well. The host communicated throughout our stay as well so we knew expectations. It really was just a perfect spot! And the master bathroom shower has me headed home with renovation plans in mind! 10/10, 5 stars, we will absolutely be back next time we visit Breck!

Fabulous stay in Blue River

My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks with our dog. We were working remotely while our son attended a summer camp. It was a great working vacation. Highlights of this rental include the following: - Paula, the host, was very responsive. She answered all my questions and offered good suggestions for things to do in the area. - The house was well-stocked and had everything we needed. - The wi-fi at the house was great; we had no connectivity issues, and there were times when both of us were on video calls at the same time. - We really liked the location. The house is located in Blue River, just a few miles outside of Breckenridge. This means you're away from the busy-ness of Breckenridge but only a 5-10 minute drive from restaurants, shopping, and activities. We frequented the Carter Park dog park, and most restaurants in the area are very dog friendly; some even have menus for the dogs. During weekday evenings, we walked with our dog along the Blue River Rec Path. The house is also only about 25-30 minutes from Fairplay; we did a weekend hike up that way and went into Fairplay afterwards for lunch. - It was fun to see wildlife from the house; we saw a fox, a few deer, some bears, and one night there was a moose in the yard. Be sure to heed the warnings about not leaving garbage outside and keeping your pets on leash! It was a great rental for 2 people plus a dog. I'd recommend this house to others.

We love sharing our little treehouse with others so they can enjoy this beautiful state and all that it has to offer! We also always stay in VRBO's when traveling and feel like it always makes travel more comfortable while feeling more like a local than a tourist.

Being in Blue River feels like you are in a Hallmark movie. The quiet serene forest along with the river is a magical place to be in the winter and summer!

What makes this property unique

Our property truly feels like a treehouse in the summer and a snow globe in the winter. The unique shape makes the inside so cozy and the floor to ceiling windows along with the skylights brings the outside in. It is a special place to come home to.
