There is so much to do and see. We hate to leave everytime we go.
We like Bayou Bill's in Panama City Beach near the Carillon Resort for supper. They have live baby alligators to keep the kids entertained while you wait. And my husband and I love to unwind at Pier Park's Hofbrau Beer Garden with beer from Germany! You won't find it anywhere else. They usually have live entertainment at night and the food is incredible! We love German food. There is also a Kilwin's and A Marble Slab for after dinner ice cream and treats. The kids love the bungie jump and rock climbing wall here. On rainy days we see a movie at The Grand Theatre or go shopping at the Mall in Pier Park. You really can't beat it.
The Pier is great to walk out on. It's $2 a person and you can watch people fishing or fish if you want to. We usually just go out over the water and look at the beauty of the clear water where you can see so many large fish swimming. The Pier has cleaning tables for the fisherman and benches for the observers.
If you want to try places to eat down 30 A towards Seaside try Angelina's Pizzaria and Pasta. Their lunch is reasonable and the calzonnes are good. Go further down the road and you will find Pickles, a good hamburger joint with fried pickles. Who would've guessed? And the frozen custard at the "Frost Bites" Airstream in Seaside is the best. You can walk the town square after you eat and window shop or go into the many shops behind Pickles and across the street. It reminds you a little of New Orleans if you go behind the immediate shops in the square. There is lots of artwork, jewelry, soaps, scarves, and even furniture to buy or just see too. The white lights strung in all the trees make walking romantic.
Breakfast places that are good to eat at are The Sunnyside Grill in Sunnyside, which is towards Panama City. The opposite direction on 30 A. Huge amounts of food cooked to order right in front of you. You will find room for it all though. The omlets are tasty. There is a cute bird outside in her cage who is very friendly too! The place is small, but don't be put off. If you rather stay around Seaside then Another Broken Egg is for you. Its actually in Grayton Beach a little past Seaside. You can eat outside here and enjoy the beautiful weather. Its more upscale than the grill. The Great Southern in Seaside is a must. Food is awesome, mohitos are the best you will ever drink.
If you want to rent a kayak or a bike 30 A Bike Rentals is the place. They also have wheelchairs that are able to go onto the beach. They do tours as well. Their phone number is 1-850-865-7433. Reserve in advance. They go fast. They will even deliver! Our street is on a cul-de-sac so if you want to ride bikes its perfect. You can also ride all along 30 A as there are many sidewalks and trails. You can google a bike trail map and make a day of it. If you need groceries you will find Winn Dixie near Carillon on 98 the easiest to maneuver and the CVS on the corner of 98 fast if you need to get a prescription. If you have a handicapped person with you, they can enjoy the beach too. Just go down Hwy 98 towards Inlet beach and turn right onto the road that has the Public Beach Access sign...Orange Street. Here you will find a flat straight away to the beach. If you rented a beach wheelchair you are all set. The bathrooms are clean, easily acessible and there is a shower area for cleaning everyone off before getting back in the car. We have had to use this before and it meant so much to include all the family in the trek to the beach. You will find you are in a jewel of an area if you decide to stay at our home. We absolutely love it! It is very family friendly. You will not want to leave. Call and book today. Your vacation awaits.
