About this property

Peaceful Oasis of Cape Coral - Serene Canal Home With Pool

After two years as a Superhost on the other popular hosting site, providing many satisficed guests with great place to stay, we are bringing Peaceful Oasis to VRBO as well.

Following restoration after Hurricane Ian, we now offer beautifully restored Terrazzo floors, along with all new cabinetry, appliances and furniture. The interior of the house has been greatly improved. The lanai, pool and waterfront have been restored to their previous splendor.

We provide the most convenient location in Cape Coral, just one mile from the downtown restaurant district.

Guest access:
Guests have access to the entire house, except the garage, which is private space.

Other things to note:
As part of our recent remodeling project we added an office space to the living room (see pictures) - we provide a desk, office chair, large high resolution monitors, a wireless keyboard/mouse, a printer/scanner and numerous cables that will bring your laptop to life. Our beautiful winter weather may tempt you to move the office operation poolside, which is fine with us.

The entire waterfront and dock area is yours to use. For their safety, please do not allow children to play on the boat or boatlift. The boatlift is rented to a boat owner who may arrive unannounced, park on the right side of the driveway and walk the garden path between the driveway and the dock during daylight hours.

Please be aware that the pool is usually serviced on Fridays between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. The technician enters unannounced through the side gate and the pool area screen door. Please do not shoo him away. Regular servicing is essential to offer you clear blue pool. Servicing usually only takes ten to twenty minutes.

The Lawn and trees are serviced weekly, but the day is not fixed. The service provider understands that his tools can be noisy for a short time and will do his best to not disturb you. Please understand, however, that regular exterior maintenance is necessary to keep the home up to the standards you expect and may occur briefly during your stay.

This place is Exceptional!!! 10 stars

let me start off by saying this, I get crazy about booking where my family of 4 stays. I like clean and updated and convenience because let's face it when you vacation with kids you need another one when you get home. I came across this booking, and I saved it. I thought the pictures looked nice. When we get there its BEAUTIFUL, the pictures don't do it justice! when they named it the Peaceful Oasis, they hit the nail on the head! The neighborhood is nice and quiet! This place has everything, the pool, the canal to fish from, a huge comfy sectional to watch movies with the kids. A beautiful kitchen to cook in they even had pots, pans and plates. You need groceries? The location is literally close to everything. The owners even have a book that tells you where everything is. I also loved how they labeled all the lights, and they have pool toys to use in the pool. I can honestly say this was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. I could go on and on even though I feel I already did haha. Book It Now you won't regret it!

After many years braving Minnesota winters my wife Thairys and I have begun our migration south. Since we still have ties up north we can't break, we visit Cape Coral when we can and host during the times when we cannot.

Why they chose this property

During a vacation in 2019, while visiting nearby St. James City, which is also a canal town, we realized this is what we wanted. After searching extensively in the area we settled on the Yacht Club neighborhood of Cape Coral. When we own that boat someday it will be an easy trip out into the Gulf. For now the canal views and awesome weather keeps us happy.

What makes this property unique

You really do have to see it to believe it. We do our best to present plenty of accurate and up to date photos, but the canal view and the Jimmy Buffet vibe of the Lanai and Tiki bar have to be experienced. The rows of Arica Palms on both side of the yard offer you almost complete privacy from the neighbors (who are friendly, should you encounter them). The view across the canal is great, especially at sunset.

After Hurricane Ian we took the opportunity to make all the improvements that we had been putting off for someday. The newly restored, antique Terrazzo floors have a mirror like shine. The kitchen and furniture is all new. We have recently added supplemental air conditioning in the master bedroom that will keep you cool on the hottest of Florida days.

We want you and your children to have fun in our pool, which is significantly larger than many you will find in Cape Coral. To help accomplish this we provide lots of inflatable pool mattresses and toys that you can inflate and use. We also provide fishing poles and stock complementary squid bait in the freezer. Some guests have caught small sharks right off the dock in the canal, as well as plenty of mangrove snapper and catfish. We provide two kayaks for your use so you can explore nearby canals and Bimini Basin.

We are located exactly one mile from the heart of Cape Coral's restaurant district and 1.5 miles from Yacht Club park. If you read our reviews and guestbook you well see comments from prior guests that they changed their original vacation plans because the house is just too relaxing and enjoyable to leave.

We recommend you consider renting a boat. There are numerous boat rental companies nearby and we have plenty of room to tie up on the dock. The Caloosahatchee river is 10 minutes away by boat. The open Gulf, Fort Meyers Beach and Sanibel Island are a 45 minute cruise away.
