What makes this property unique

Welcome to The Cottage on Maple! Here’s a little glimpse into the history of this place… If these walls could speak, it would tell of a post-World War II era where in 1945 the Lockheed Martin Corporation established a row of homes for engineers and their families to live nearby their place of work as the world looked to new beginnings. These cottage walls would speak of a newlywed couple choosing to have their wedding reception in the backyard of their new home and using some of their honeymoon funds to build the koi pond. These walls would tell of tea parties on the screen porch with a neighbor who felt like a fairy godmother and three little girls from next door, sipping tea from antique teacups. They would tell of the fairy godmother’s husband who had his own magical touch with the smoker and would leave a foil full of delicious pork on his neighbors’ doorstep. The cottage walls would tell of a young family moving in and walking their oldest son to kindergarten from these front steps. They would tell of that same family bringing home a new baby boy and living a full life with three children within these walls. The walls would tell of countless backyard gatherings and front yard birthday celebrations and tailgate parties before high school games. There are 78 years of history and memories and abundant life and love within these walls and we look forward with expectancy to all that’s ahead.

Join in the story! Your stay will add to the legacy as you create your own stories to tell from within the walls of The Cottage on Maple.
