About the property

Pocono area Lake Front Home. Please note, this property is located about 20 minutes west of Lake Harmony, on a larger, private 130 acre lake named 'Lake of the Four Seasons' which is in the community called 'Beech Mountain Lake'. It is an electric motor only lake. Easy access off I-80 (Mt. Top exit), just east of the I-81/I-80 junction. Enjoy a beautiful 130 acre lake on the western edge of the Pocono region. Escape the commercialism and crowds of other Pocono area lakes. Beech Mountain Lake is a private gated community with it's own freshwater lake. New York City is 2 hours to the east, Philadelphia is two hours to the south, and historic Jim Thorpe is 30 minutes away. If you are requesting more than 2 nights during the non summer period, the calculator does not work. Please contact me for a quote.

In the spring, summer and fall, enjoy kayaking and fishing. We have a pontoon boat for rent. We also have a large dock and have two kayaks which can be used (liability release must be signed in advance). The lake, once used by the PA Fish Commission for spawning fish, is an electric only-motor lake. Excellent fishing for Largemouth Bass, Perch, Pickerel, and even trout (lake stocked with Palomino, Rainbow, and Brown trout in spring for the kids fishing derby). Enjoy spectacular mountain views and clear blue skies while boating on the lake or relaxing on the deck and beach. Lake is excellent for swimming. Our private beach is great for kids to play in the sand! Swim off the floating dock. Whitewater rafting and biking on the 'Rails to Trails' at Lehigh Gorge State Park (20 minutes away).

You can also enjoy the community clubhouse which has its own restaurant and lounge. Virtually all the activities you can imagine that you could do outdoors in Pennsylvania, you can do here. Restaurants, shopping, and attractions are minutes away.

The great room is on the main (second) floor with wood cathedral ceilings and a full wall of windows with beautiful lake and mountain views. Also on the main floor is a large well stocked kitchen with an island. In addition to a regular coffee pot, there is a Keurig brewer available for use. This floor also has a ½ bath, the master bedroom and a master bath. Just outside on the deck is a screened in hot tub that seats 5. The top floor features two bedrooms, a full bath and a loft that overlooks the great room. You can sleep up to 6 on this level. The lower level hosts a cozy family room with a 42” TV and an X-Box 360. There is also a ¾ bath and the laundry room. The lower and main rooms have access to two decks that provide lake front views to watch the wildlife (birds, Bald Eagles, water fowl, deer, raccoons, and even an occasional black bear).

The 'Clubhouse' has an indoor pool, indoor half court basketball and racquetball courts, game room, lounge and restaurant with an outdoor dining deck. Outside the clubhouse you can find tennis court, volleyball, shuffleboard, bocce court, private swimming beach, basketball court and kids playground. You are permitted to use these facilities.

Please note that we do not have a house phone. We do have Wi-Fi and most cell phones do get a good signal from our house.

About Steve Macdonald

A good friend introduced us to the area during a Girl Scout outing and we fell in love with the area so we purchased the house next door.

Steve Macdonald purchased this house in 2011

Why Steve Macdonald chose Endless Mountains

We wanted a quiet getaway for our family. This house's private dock and quiet lake make an ideal year round vacation spot. Our family loves it.

What makes this house unique

The views from our home overlooking the lake are different every day. Private, very quiet and relaxing.

A Cozy Retreat with Amenities & More

  • 5 of 5

Stayed the past weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday with some close family & friends. The home & setting are absolutely perfect for small groups seeking a nice relaxing getaway. From the moment you walk into this beautiful home, it's strikingly clear that the owner put a great deal of thought into staging and supplying renters with everything needed for an amazing stay. The sprawling upper-deck is well-equipped with an efficient BBQ and comfy patio set. Everyone really enjoyed the kitchen, preparing some delicious meals (particularly, an epic breakfast) and catching up over a few drinks. On Saturday, we braved the chilly Fall night to build a fire down by the water. The fire pit area is atop a small, private beach with plenty of seating & tall bushes planted around the perimeter to give it an intimate feel. We had a blast reminiscing, creating new memories, and making s'mores. The lake is of course, the main attraction - I made a point of not missing each sunrise & sunset throughout our stay. Throw in the breathtaking orange/yellow foliage in the distance and you've got a scene only Bob Ross could paint. We made a quick trip as well for a hike at picturesque Hickory Run State Park - about 20 mins from the home. We did not have a chance utilize the community amenities (Pool, Clubhouse), though there are clearly plenty of activities available, with something for everyone. The fireplaces were also great source of warmth and enjoyment, and the hot tub was soothing after the long hike. It goes without saying, but this home has it all.

The owner is extremely easy to work with, and provides step-by-step, detailed documentation in addition to suggested attractions in the local area. I've stayed at a fair share of rental properties, but this one by far was one of the best. Our stay was memorable and perfect. Highly recommend this home for anyone seeking a waterfront retreat with gorgeous details inside & out. Thanks to Luis & family for sharing your amazing home with us!

Birthday getaway

  • 5 of 5

I just recently stayed at this beautiful lake house this past weekend. I have to tell you that the pictures doesn't do the lake any justice!! It really is spectacular!! We had a group of 8 adults and my 7 year old and the space was perfect. Large enough to accommodate everyone but small enough to have an intimate group gathering. This was the perfect escape from our city life with all the hustle and bustle that comes with it. Mr Muniz provided a step by step check in and check out contract that virtually idiot proof.

We were all concerned with the weather so we all tugged along with our thick winter blankets thinking that the house might be a little cold. It was such a waste as the house was so well heated that we really didn't even need those blankets. I would absolutely recommend this house if you are looking for some peace and quiet!!

Thank you again Mr. Muniz!!

Excellent Home, Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Home is exceptional in location and the cleanest and most well-equipped rental homes I've ever had. Everything is as described and those who rent vacation homes know how rare that can be. The neighborhood and the lake are quiet and peaceful. The boat is well maintained and lots of fun. Woody, the caretaker is very personable and helpful and available in a text (he lives locally). Excellent experience and couldn't recommend this property more.

Prime relaxation

  • 5 of 5

This house is perfect. It is in a great location and has all the nesessary amenities for a perfect break from the rat race. The setting is absolutely magnificent and the house has a very calming effect for those who work hard and need to recharge. Picture waking up with a good cup of coffee, on an elevated wooden deck overlooking a lake so calm it looks like glass. The only noises are birds and the occasional fish jumping.

This house and Mr. Muniz's hospitality provided me an opportunity to reconnect with my young ones and catch up with siblings I rarely see these days, in a relaxed and stress free environment. Having just returned to the USA from a three year tour, I could not envision a more perfect way to reintegrate. Mr. Woody (caretaker) was super friendly and helpful. He instantly felt like an old friend. The process of renting and occupying was seamless and efficient. All involved and competent and truly professional.

We all really enjoyed our stay, and God willing, we will be back. My sisters were already plotting renting it again. I am so greatful to the Muniz family for allowing us to enjoy their beautiful home. I think the value so far exceeded the monetary cost that it is an absolute steal. I am recharged and ready to get back to business. Thank you so much!

Wonderful lakefront getaway...

  • 5 of 5

I spent a long weekend here with my family...a total of 7 of us. It was perfect...lakefront cabin with wonderful, unobstructed views from every level. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The fireplaces on both levels are a nice advised, the downstairs one gets very hot if you have small children. We were able to sit outside for dinner of the grill on Saturday night and enjoy the expansive views of the lake. The home has a small private beach area with chairs, a dock, and a nice fire pit. The hot tub in the screened porch is worries about bugs or weather. A really enjoyable home for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Even the neighborhood is quiet and has nice pond, clubhouse, etc. This home and neighborhood is designed for families looking to enjoy each other's company and relax in a beautiful setting. And the owner is attentive, polite, and makes everything easy. I hope we get back...
