We had a pleasant stay here. First, a great location as it is walking distance from many main spots in the city. The property was very clean and had beautiful city views. Communication was very timely and our host was very kind. Parking can be easily found around the area. Only one time we had to park about 10 min away, but this was later in the night and to be expected as everyone is settled in already. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a bit of a hike when walking back to property from the city (but that’s to be expected with the island of Madeira). A fun surprise was after we went tobogganing, all we had to do was walk down the same road that you finish the toboggan experience to get back to the property. I would highly recommend this property for its convenience, cleanliness and communicative host. Mahalo!

The apartment was very clean, and it had everything we needed: a washing machine, drying rack, towels, hairdryer, and everything we needed for cooking and eating. There are several parking spaces around the apartment, and it’s not too difficult to find one.In the end, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because, when we arrived, the first apartment assigned to us had some problems. The host quickly found us another apartment in the same building, but two days later, the second apartment also had some problems, which the host resolved on the same day.Without these issues, I’m sure it would have been 5 stars

Simple, but clean and comfortable apartment perfect as a base for our stay. Especially appreciated the washing machine and the host even provided a couple of detergent capsules, so we were able to wash our clothes after a muddy hike. Good location, close to the centre of Funchal, but bear in mind there's a steep hill to climb up - though taxies from the centre will cost you about 4 euros. The only issue was not getting the actual address any check-in instructions before our arrival and having to call the host on our late in the evening after we arrived. It took few calls before her daughter got in touch and provided the access information, but from there it was smooth, so overall a good experience.

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment is modern and clean and the kitchen is equipped with most basic necessities to be able to cook. The only thing we found missing was a cutting board. There was also a bit of an ant problem - they were crawling on the bathroom and kitchen counters, but they were quite small. Otherwise, everything was great and the location is perfect.

Amazing place

If I could give more that 5 stars I would, what a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful city, everything from start to finish was hassle free, the host was so good answering any questions I had but it’s the accommodation that needs more than 5 stars, the right location, everything you could need is here, I could not of wished for anything more, a truly fantastic place to stay and hopefully I will get the chance to head back soon

Lovely little apartment with everything we needed. Host communication was good although we didn’t need much in the way of help as everything pretty self explanatory. Yes there is a steep hill to climb to get back from Funchal but this was perfect for walking dinner off at the end of the day. Walk takes around 15-20 mins. There were some earlier reviews about lack of hot water but we didn’t find this to be a problem at all, in fact the boiler looked brand new and the shower is lovely! Will definitely book again.

Nice Apartment

Its a nice comfortable and clean apartment. (For 2 Persons) The only thing which should be fixed, is that the linked adress for google maps is not the exact building in the street. All in all its worth for a vacation!

Very clean property, nice comfortable bed . Washing machine very handy and everything you need in the kitchen. Good TV channels should you fancy a night in.Tea, coffee and biscuits left by the owner and much appreciated. The cafe/hotel next door is handy for a drink and snack , with excellent views over Funchal. Just make sure you request check in detail. I had to send for them the day before I was due to travel as I still hadn't received anything . Once received everything went smoothly. A taxi from the airport is your best option if you have suitcases, the hill is too steep to take them up from town ( or even back down). The WiFi wasn't working , I tried to contact the owner but didn't receive a reply, luckily I had plenty of data on my phone but I couldn't use my iPad.

We did not hear from the host after repetitively requesting information until we were outside our stay. There was no information packet, that most vrbos have concerning trash, where to leave dirty towels, check out process, anything like that. There usually is information about the area like where to eat, attractions, ecetera and there was none of that. The kitchen was poorly stocked. The neighbors were very loud. Even after required quiet times.
