Great Condo on the beach

Wonderful experience. The condo is well done, easy to spend a week in. Sanibel Moorings is a fantastic property. Looking forward to going back.

Great location and cute unit!

Our family came down to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and invited her best friend. The unit was nicely decorated for the most part! The furniture in the master is a tad dated, but still very comfortable. The rug in the living room has seen a lot of wear and in my opinion should probably be replaced. I was a little more comfortable wearing socks than going barefoot due to the condition (ground in dirt/stains, etc) of the rug. Otherwise the place and location was great for us! Loved the grounds with all the different trees and landscaping and it was not a far walk to the beach at all even though it was in building 8. We also loved Dante’s pizza literally right down the street! Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking to stay in Sanibel!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a positive experience as always. The room is well kept and clean. While the location is far from the beach, it still felt central to everything on property. Beehives being kept near the unit were a problem as we mentioned to management. We were told it was never an issue and that made our experience feel like it was being ignored. A condescending comment over the phone when my kids and their friends were constantly being chased by bees is not what any guest wants to hear. There seems to be a bee problem now more than ever and the idea that these so called "happy non-aggressive" bees can help with the "mean bees" as the GM put it (or yellow jackets) does not seem grounded in too much science. There is also generally a feeling that you are doing your guests a favor by letting them rent there. Always has been the attitude at the Moorings. We have been visiting for 30+ years.

It’s our favorite place to relax and enjoy quiet time from the busy traffic and life in our city. We love the restaurants in the island and the beautiful sunset in Captiva . We have not stayed anywhere else since our experience with the Moorings. The perfect place for a short or long staying.

This year the ages ranges from 78 years old to 15 months old and there is something for all.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at Sanibel Moorings Unit 841. This was one of the larger rental condos we've ever vacationed in. The kitchen is huge, tons of counterspace, fancy fridge - the only downside is now my kitchen feels small and old in comparison! The screened in porch is a great feature. The huge sliding doors make it feel like a seamless part of the living room, and we left them open any time we were there and awake. We also left the bedroom windows open. Despite being close to the road, we were not bothered by traffic noise. We also could barely see the road with all the greenery outside the windows. The pool was close and we were not bothered by not being in one of the units closer to the beach. This was a great place to stay with kids. SM's beachfront has a sandbar just offshore, creating almost a wading pool at high tide. And at low tide we loved hopping onto the sandbar (literally one step in places) and looking for shells, giving the kids a huge unique expanse to run around, etc. The ocean stays shallow far out past the sandbar. The waves were so calm most days that even the most ocean-timid kids will feel safe. Dolphins were playing just offshore several days of our stay. We saw rays, ospreys, crabs, sea stars, live conchs and clams, and so many other birds. We rented a shade tent which helped for the days we did not get to the beach on time to nab an umbrella, but there were always enough chairs. FYI, each pool has a daily adult swim hour so plan your pool time around that. Also FYI as to #841, there is a honeybee hive nearby so you may encounter a few bees coming in and out of the porch. And finally my kids LOVED all the tiny lizards everywhere. I am already recommending Sanibel Moorings to friends and trying to figure out when we can make it back.

Sanibel Vacation

This was a great stay for myself, husband and 13 month old. Property was clean, baby pool was perfect for him and beach was just a short walk. Walking path across the street for early morning stroller rides.
