A stay in our Gospel Hill 2-bed, 1-bath apartment places you at the epicenter of a vibrant downtown culture while surrounding you with the style, luxurious details, and enchanting ease of a well-appointed home. Whether you are in town on vacation or business or for a function at nearby Mary Baldwin University, this fully equipped space with unique window-on-the-city views is a great spot for all you have planned.

- Staunton’s quaint charm includes the occasional sounds of the train, which comes through the historic station located in downtown. Please be aware that you may hear this during your stay.

This is the perfect location for a visit to Staunton! You are walking distance to everything from great restaurants and shops to Mary Baldwin to the Woodrow Wilson Library. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the upstairs porch. It was a perfect weekend!

The Overlook is a great place to stay in Staunton--the location couldn't be better, less than a block from all the shops, yet a nice quiet location. The unit is well appointed and includes everything one might need and was very clean. For me the best feature was the front porch; a delightful place to sit and relax overlooking the town and hills beyond, private and peaceful.

We truly loved our stay in Staunton! The location couldn’t have been more convenient — we could easily walk into downtown, and it was also just a short drive to beautiful hikes and wonderful wineries.What really stood out to us were all the thoughtful little touches throughout the place. Having coffee and tea, a few spices, cleaning supplies, and some basic essentials waiting for us was such a treat. Those little things made us feel so welcomed and made settling in incredibly easy — something we’ve found isn’t always the case with vacation rentals/stays.And one of our favorite parts of the stay was simply sitting out on the porch in the early morning, enjoying our coffee and watching the town slowly wake up. It was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly the kind of moment that makes a getaway special.We had such a lovely time and would absolutely come back. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect location for our needs

Although not much time was spent at the property except to sleep since my husband was visiting his son that lives 1/2 mile away, it was a pleasant and clean apartment. Would definitely consider staying here again for the next trip.

I am so happy with the choice we made to stay in The Overlook

The place was amazing. Well stocked, super clean, comfortable. It was right around the corner from the theater (one reason we were in town), Woodrow Wilson museum, and shops and eateries. Parking was convenient and we loved sitting on the porch with the gas fire pit.

Great weekend getaway

The property has a great covered balcony where we spent mornings with coffee and evenings with games and cocktails. It was easy to venture out as the property is in a great location and an easy walk to several restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

So happy with The Overlook

The Overlook was so clean, updated, well stocked, comfortable and close to everything we were in town for. We loved reading on the porch by the gas fire pit. This place has all the little extras that makes a vrbo experience special. I wish we had a few more days there!

This is my third stay in this sweet apartment. Each time is a warm welcome. The apartment is clean & well appointed. The kitchen is completely stocked & available for full use. The shops & Saturday Farmer’s Market are all within walking distance. It’s a great place to stay.
