First let me start by saying that we had zero communication about check in, never received any welcome email like we always have for every single VRBO rental we have ever rented. Day of check in I had to message and ask for check in instructions, then just received a message with door code and said check in is at 4pm. Then we were provided with an incorrect door code & had to call to get the correct one. The pool was filthy, and we found 2 beer cans in the skimmer. The hot tub was filthy as well. I know sand can get into pools being so close to beach and people swimming after a day at the beach but it clearly has not been vacuumed in quite some time. I would honestly fire the pool company. We have a pool of our own and this was not acceptable. The chlorinator was busted out in the bottom so clearly has no free floating chlorine. The hot tub was also full of sand even with a cover on it. Kitchen knifes wouldn’t cut thru putty and one of the large knifes we grabbed, the handle was not even attached. Then to our surprise as it was never disclosed in the listing or in the house binder, there is a hidden security camera in the back yard on the fence behind a big tree with a tree branch semi covering it, as well as 3. on the back of the house and a Ring in garage. This clearly violates VRBO policies. Tons more to give reason as to why not to rent this place but only allowed so many characters.

Christmas Holidays

I usually don’t leave a review but felt I needed to. We have booked other homes in the past and was alway happy. This home however as soon as we arrived had problems. We called because there were no linens for sofa bed. They were very responsive for that and brought them asap. That’s about it. The pool was dirty there were chairs thrown in the pool garbage all around the backyard and the hot tub was dirty as well. When I complained about it they tried to tell us that the wind must have blown the chairs into the pool. We were already in Florida for two weeks in that area there was no high winds for that to happen. They had said that we could take the chairs out of the pool ourselves. They had people completing an inspection a failed to let us know that there would be people in the backyard so we were not able to go into the backyard for the first part of the day We also explained that the hot tub and pool were still dirty even after apparently someone was there to clean it and that the pool heater and hot tub were not working. They assured us that someone was coming to clean it again and make sure it was ok. Here I am two week later writing this review no one came out to take care of the problem. We booked the house that had a pool and hot tub, that we were not able to use. Very disappointed. Although the home was in a nice location to the beach and walking distance to restaurants I cannot say that I would rent this home again or recommend staying here. Very disappointing
