About this property

Bright open studio apartment with king bed and queen sofabed. Walk to local shops and restaurants.

Located centrally in the heart of the beautiful small city of Hickory, NC. Includes comfortable king bed, surprisingly comfortable queen sofa bed, kitchen, full bathroom with a walk in shower, dining area, mini split, electric fireplace, washer/dryer, ample space and light.

This studio has its own dedicated private outdoor parking area plus a small enclosed carport. The apartment is the downstairs unit of a 2 unit house.

The entire home is available for rent for larger groups.

We do not live far from the home so we are available should any issues arise. Otherwise we will completely respect your privacy. You can reach us through the app messenger or call/text.

Located in a very safe central area of Hickory. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance of the home.

The back side of the house is available for guest use with plenty of parking, a small carport, private entrance. The studio space includes a king bed, queen sofa bed, small kitchen, dining area, full bathroom with washer and dryer.

If you would like to rent the entire house for a larger group please check the availability on the upstairs listing. The upstairs provides sleeping arrangements for an additional 7 people. Look up heartofhickory-1 on Airbnb.

The tv is a Fire TV which only has wifi channels like Amazon or Netflix. There is no cable tv or local stations. Also, no dishwasher or garbage disposal in the sink.

The entrance to the studio is behind the house. There is a large private driveway for you to park. You will also see a garage type area however it is quite small with low clearance and best suited for compact vehicles. We suggest not parking in it at all, however if you choose to do so you assume any potential risk of damage to your vehicle as it is a small space.

Hickory also has public transportation available and many places are within walking distance.

We provide a starter supply of tp, paper towels, and soaps.

The tv is a Fire TV which only has wifi channels like Amazon or Netflix. There is no cable tv or local stations. Also, no dishwasher or garbage disposal in the sink.

Though we have made efforts to buffer sound, some noise may be heard from upstairs guests.

Nice stay in Hickory

We came to Hickory for my wife’s work as a traveling nurse. Our permanent residence is in Asheville (Swannanoa). Hurricane Helene had devastated WNC the week before our visit. The apartment was a great refuge for 10 days. The apartment worked great for my wife and myself. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Rachel was great host.

Nice Location

Overall pretty good. Good location for our needs and reasonable price. Kept getting emails : "has replied to your message". But I didn't send a message(s). Then on the day before checkout I sent a message asking to extend my stay by a day. Never got a reply. I have come to the conclusion that VBRO is not for every occasion or for everyone. Hotels still serve the purpose if there is any uncertainty on the length of the stay or if the need arises to get in touch with a manager.
