'Winter' brings ice skating, snowmobiling, sledding and cross country skiing on and around the lake plus there is 3 snow skiing resorts including Mt Spokane, Schweitzer Mountain and Silver Mountain are all within 75 miles and gives you a variety of different slopes! 'Spring' brings the return of the water fowl and spring flowers for that 'Springtime getaway and relaxing adventures of paddling around the lakes!'

Now to the 'Heart' of 'Moose Cove Lodge' that had its start in 1914 as a screened in sleeping cabin and has emerged as a 2500 sq ft Lodge with a rustic log exterior and a Craftsman/log theme inside! About The Owner

We have been involved in residential construction and real estate for over 40 yrs. Susan was born in Iowa and moved to Spokane, Wash in 68 and Spokane is Wes's home town! We are a active couple whether it be kayaking on the lake, adventuring around in our motorhome.Participating in the Bloomsday run, or being spectators of high school or college sports! Go WSU Cougars and Gonzaga Bulldogs!!

The Owner purchased this cabin in 1978

Why The Owner chose Idaho

We purchased the 800' cabin in 1978 for the use of our young family! We liked the fact that it was just 35 minutes from our Spokane home making it easy to commute and the Twin Lake atmosphere made us feel that we are way out in the country! Yet we are just 10 minutes from golfing and an easy distance to shopping and restaurants!

What makes this cabin unique

Walk out your door and you can take your morning walk or jog down a quiet country lane or if you are a distance swimmer, Twin is a great lake for a calm swim accomponied by a kayaker! Afternoon you can take your kids for a stroll down the lane to the Old Resort to the 'little' store for a ice cream cone! The road to the cabin is a short distance from the black top, and it is plowed in the winter, and flat, easy access.

So much fun

  • 5 of 5

I came with 4 families. This cabin was so nice. It was clearly updated but also had that cabin feel as well.

there was 3 bedrooms with closed doors. 2 downstairs, 1 upstairs plus a loft area bedroom and a huge loft area with 3 beds.

Fit us all really well. There are 2.5 bathrooms.

The best part is that this place came with SO many water toys. There was 4 single kayaks, 1 double kayak, a huge canoe and a ton of floaties and even life jackets for everyone.

The deck was great. The firepit looked like it would have been fun (fire ban at the time we were there so didn't get to use). Great dock too!

2 car garage you can park in. plus probably fit 3 cars outside garage plus one other spot in front of another garage (used for storage not accessible)

There is not internet or cable though! Cell phone coverage depended on who was your carrier. I have Verizon and it was good.

I highly recommend the place!

Fantastic place for family vacation gathering!

  • 4 of 5

This is a wonderful cabin with LOTS to do and plenty of sleeping space to accommodate a large family or multiple families sharing. We had a 3 generation family vacation here with ages ranging from 8 to 70. There was something to enjoy for everyone. They have a nice game room with a pool table and Nintendo, board games, puzzles, etc. that the kids and parents enjoyed in the evenings. The house has a very cozy fireplace and a full covered deck that the grandparents really enjoyed. We ate most our dinners out there. The lake offered great activity and the cabin comes complete with an overload of kayaks, canoe, paddle oat, water floaties and toys. The waterfront is a nice pebble beachfront, not rocky or muddy. The lake itself is a little weedy and, I think because we vacationed in September, a little low. The dock was great for fishing, but the water was only waist high at the end of the dock, making diving off the dock prohibitive. It was still a fun swimming area for younger kids though. Older swimmers preferred to take the paddleboat out a little further and jump from it for swimming. There is also a wonderful fire pit area for evening campfires. We would come back to this place again.

just saw the home of our Kennedy Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

What a fabulous place. There is no way that a family would not have a memorable time in this lovingly hand built home. The care and detail that has been put into this Log home is very impressive. The pictures are nice but the home is really great. The owners have made every attempt to make all of the property to be as useful as possible. There are tables everywhere. Warmth and fun in every common room. Beds enough for the big families and so much comfort. I am so excited to spend our time there. And We are already thinking about a winter vacation there.

An Amazing Weekend Stay at a BEAUTIFUL home - a Highlight Memory That We Can't Wait to Repeat!!!

  • 5 of 5

We were one of the first families to enjoy a stay at this beautiful home, and we were very impressed with how nice the owners were - making sure our every need was looked after. I've never enjoyed such a hospitable couple - treating us as family instead of complete strangers. The home is immaculate, and so much nicer than even the pictures portray. It is a lovely, charming home, but beautiful at the same time. We felt like we were staying in luxery - with all the amenities, but in a lakeside cabin setting, which is my favorite kind of holiday. There was so much for the kids to do - pool, games, smores at the fire pit, playing on the dock, swimming, and lots of room to play inside. It's super close to Silverwood - which is why we like to go every year. The fireplace was my favorite... with lots of stocked wood and a beautiful deck to enjoy a grilled steak while listening to the sounds of the lake. We are really looking forward to going. With lots of room to spread out here - it's easy to bring several families to help share the cost... making it a very inexpensive stay... MUCH better than one of the local motels where you're stuck inside four walls for $100+. We give this rental an A++++!!! Go check it out - you WON'T be disappointed... the Powell Family.
