We loved this apartment so much! We stayed with our two boys and it was perfect. Spacious, clean, in a beautiful historic building, and the host was great to deal with. Also the location was amazing. If I come back to Paris again, I’ll be staying here!

We had the loveliest stay and didn’t want to leave! The apartment was cozy, beds were incredibly comfortable, and the view from the small patio was beautiful. Fun to watch the hustle and bustle of this neighborhood. This apartment is a bit further out from the heart of the city but we loved that. So many fun shops, lots of great food, all just seconds from the front door. Philippe was incredibly helpful and responsive with all of our questions and even let us in a little early when we got to town ahead of our check in time. We would love to return!

The apartment is absolutely fantastic. It is super functional, very clean and has all the amenities one can need. The kitchen is super functional which allowed us to mainly have our dinners at home on the beautiful balcony enjoying the magnificent view of Paris. The location is fantastic and is a few seconds away from a grocery store, butcher, bakery, and pharmacy. Its closest metro station “Oberkampf “ is 5-7 mins away by walking. It is also located 15 mins away from the heart of the Marais district. This is our 4th apartment in Paris and although we loved all of them, this one is by far our favorite for all the reasons mentioned above. The owner, Philippe, is super nice, flexible for check in and check out and super prompt in responding to any questions I had. I highly recommend this apartment and we will definitely rent it again on the future.

Our experience differed from other reviewers. While there are aspects of Philippe’s home that commend themselves (e.g., the balcony), there were no indicators from property photos or the description that hinted this is a personal residence. We realize that’s common practice in Paris, but we aren’t comfortable with a resident’s belongings in every closet, drawer, corner, etc., and we avoid those properties. We felt misled by the property photos as they don’t reflect the general clutter that inevitably results from living in a city apartment and would have clued us in that this isn’t a vacation rental.We paid for four nights and stayed one, unfortunately incurring double expense for accommodations.Our check in information seemed great at the outset, but the building access code changed the day we checked in so we were stuck on the street in the dark trying to get into the building. Fortunately, some building residents arrived as we were considering our options and told us the code had changed. When we contacted Philippe the next day, he said he should have sent us the new code sooner. Well, yes.The apartment is across the street from one of Paris’s public bath houses. Those facilities are such a vital public service and something the US could emulate. Philippe does a good job of noting the stairs, and they are significant.We just didn’t have a good experience, and Philippe did say he would update the listing to reflect that the property is his residence.

Wonderful Parisian Area

My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was just the experience we were looking for! Parisian neighborhood, less touristy, beautiful view, near markets and cafes, and still within walking distance to Notre Dame where we caught the bus each day. Pierre was easy to communicate with, and accommodated us as we arrived early. We look forward to staying again!

Classic Paris

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's close to several metro lines, grocery stores, bakeries, and restaurants. The building and appartement are old and classic Paris, which is very charming. It is a 5th floor walk up, but you'll leave your vacation with strong legs :-)We would definitely stay here again!

Home away from Home

My parents brother and I stayed in Philippe's place for a weekend and loved it. We felt very lucky to get an insight into a true Parisian apartment surrounded by cute bakeries, stores and restaurants. Perfect location with easy walks to tourist attractions. Thank you !

This apartment was beautiful and perfect for our stay (two adults and two teens). Lovely original tiles and ceilingwork with modern decor and a balcony too - bright, airy and cool. Only a couple blocks from the Metro and right in the heart of many shops and cafes, with a fresh market one block away. Philippe was a super responsive host, and neighbors were friendly too. Climbing to 5th floor (no elevator) made us feel more Parisian!

Excellent!

This flat was the perfect place for our first visit to Paris. Philippe was an exceptional host and was able to answer any questions and provided advice to wonderful, local shops. We enjoy walking and found most attractions quite easy to walk to. If you want a true Parisian neighborhood experience, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Parisian Stay

Beautiful apartment in a great location, short stroll to the Metro so very easy to get around Paris, lots of cafes, restaurants, shops close by - the patisserie below is a must! Host Philippe was fantastic, responded quickly and very accommodating - free WiFi was such a bonus too! Loved every minute of our time in Paris, made all the more special staying at this lovely apartment. Highly recommend

Great neighborhood of very walkable businesses. Right across the street from a grocery store and excellent gluten-free bakery, not far from multiple Metro stations. Although the neighborhood is busy during the day, it was very peaceful after a certain hour in the evening; no one had issues falling asleep. The host was very reachable and let us stow our baggage early before we explored the city. Very cute flat with plenty of space for the three adults who stayed there. Wonderful little balcony space. It definately is a hike up those 5 flights of stairs, but not an insurmountable thing to overcome if you are stopping by only a few times a day.
