Our family of 23 had the most fabulous vacation after Christmas at Villa Tamarindo (Encantada) in Costa Rica. The house was ideal, as we had more than enough bedrooms to accommodate all of us very comfortably. The owners, Eugene and Sary, were helpful in every way possible, and Aaron, the chef, provided meals that were absolute perfection. We enjoyed three meals a day and everyone- from age 2 to 80-was happy and excited for each delicious, fresh and healthy meal. The large "Rancho" was the perfect gathering place for cornhole, games, music TV and dining, The concierge service through Stay at Tamarindo was spot on and all our excursions (and there were many) were wonderful. Costa Rica is a beautiful place with friendly people and we can't wait to return.

Amazing vacation house!!

Our family of 21 had an amazing week at Villa Encantada (also know as Villa Tranquila). Elsa, Eugene and Sary were great to work with. They all did everything possible to make sure we had a fantastic vacation! What a treat to have a personal chef that prepared such wonderful meals! All of the bedrooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. A real highlight of the house was the huge pool that we all enjoyed. One unexpected bonus was that the pickleball courts were only a few minute’s walk from the house. There was strong WIFI all over the huge house. We highly recommend this Villa!

40th birthday celebration

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is huge and meticulously maintained. I was there with 16 of my close friends and everything was seamlessly carried out from check in, shuttles, food, and golf cart drop off. The chef, Didi, was phenomenal and easily made meals for my friends who have certain food restrictions. Our rooms were cleaned daily and fresh beach/pool towels were given daily. We are sad to be leaving this beautiful resort and country. Pura Vida.

Amazing, beautiful place!

This was a great place! We totally enjoyed our stay here! The pool was clean and beautiful! The chef was great! Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Eugene was a very good host! He made sure we had everything we needed. We hope we will be able to return and stay here again!

Grab this VRBO!

We had a family reunion for my mom's 85th birthday here and were so grateful we found this location. Eugene and Sary were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The Chef, Didier, is very warm and a wonderful cook as well - I would highly recommend staying in for all your meals. Eugene and his wife buy the groceries each day and Didier cooks and cleans - all you need to do is enjoy this beautiful location. Eugene is very responsive and was helpful with other items too - like sunscreen and birthday cake with a very cool Costa Rican candle. They even bought us champagne for the birthday dinner. Every detail is taken care of. The location is very quiet, with some fun iguanas, monkeys, and birds visiting. There's easy access to a private beach, bike rental place, beach club, and more. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. This place was a total treat!

Great home!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Tranquila. Eugene and Sary were super helpful and always available by phone. Didier the chef was amazing! Each meal was delicious and he accommodated easily for our gluten free person. The outdoor space is great to hang out - plenty of shade if you want it. With each couple having their own suite, everyone had plenty of space. Pickle ball, tennis, bike rental and golf office just a quick walk away. Highly recommend Villa Tranquila

The Best Experience And All Was Happy

We were a group of 12 adults there to vacation and celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The entire experience was first class from beginning to end. The chef cooked our breakfasts and dinners for 7 nights. Everything was delicious and timely. Eugene and Sary ran around purchasing our alcohol and food. Elsa booked all of our shuttles and excursions. Anything we wanted we got. Friendly and attentive. The property was perfect for our group. The beach is a 30 minute walk. The JW is a nice place to walk to for a drink. You can rent bikes and ride around the grounds. It’s a wonderful place to spend your vacation. Tamarindo beach is about a 30 minute shuttle ride. We will return!

Villa Tranquila lives up to its name :)

Went here with a group of 19 people for a bachelorette and I’m so glad we picked this place. From the moment we booked the house, Elsa has been such a helpful resource. She’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and answers quickly. Planning every part of the trip for a big group went so smooth with her help! The hosts, Eugene and Sari, were very welcoming and accommodating in this big beautiful home. They were available whenever we had a question, gave their recommendations, and even helped us out when we needed some groceries. Every meal that the chef made was so delicious, we really didn’t have to go out to town for good food! He was a pleasure to have around during our stay and also considerate of any special requests we had such as a very early breakfast or vegetarian options. If there were any recommendations for improvement, we just wished the wifi was better. There were times it didn’t work at all, and when it did, it would only work in some rooms. Nevertheless, our stay was wonderful and we had so much fun. Thank you all so much for making this trip memorable!

Girls Trip 2022

We absolutely loved this property. The ensuite rooms give you the privacy you need if you want to go off and be by yourself. The kitchen area and the back are great for communing with everyone. Eugene and his wife were always available to us by phone. We really appreciated all that they did for us and they are extremely accommodating of our needs. One of the best things was our cook, Didiair!!! He was magnificent. We could not have gotten better service or food anywhere else, and the daily cost was definitely good for all the food that he served us. Thank you and we hope to see you again one day soon!!

Awesome layout and property management

Fantastic home for our group of 16. The managers were helpful and available whenever needed.. The layout was well thought out and the back patio with pool was a great place for entertaining. Our cook Didier was fantastic. Fresh fruit and salsa was available at all times. I highly recommend this place for large gatherings.

Everything was first class from the property managers to the staff at the Villa. Absolutely perfect place for any large group with all ages. Private areas are great. Public areas are great.

AHHHHmazing!

Eugene and Sary are incredible hosts.! Every one of the 8 bedrooms in this giant house has a sitting room with a sofa bed, giant bathrooms, and a nice porch or balcony. The house pool is lovely, even nicer than the photos show. The house has daily housekeeping AND a wonderful cook for 3 meals a day included in the cost of the house. The gated community (not as pretentious as it sounds) is thousands of acres with tons of trails, birds, monkeys, reptiles, bugs, and cows that think fencing is a suggestion. Speaking of bugs - shut off the outside lights at night for the best experience with few bugs. There are adorable web-fingered geckos on the house at night. Also, a golf course, a beach club w/restaurant, and a gym $10 day for all it credits your tab for food or beverage. Our 11 adults all give the place a 10 of 10. We ARE going back to this huge house! It is about 30 miles from the airport (LIR), but the drive is 80-90 minutes. Renting a car is best for flexibility. It's an easy rise except for one road towards the end of the trip that has craters – it's entertaining!

Great time!

We had a great stay! Everyone was happy with the house that had plenty of space for 18 of us. Kids loved the pool and beach club as well as private beach. Eugene and his wife were excellent house managers and very helpful. 2 ladies cooking the whole week were great and it was so convenient to have them do our meals which were delicious! Perfect vacation! Thank you!

Superb few days at Villa Tranquila

Phenomenal time! We brought friends and family to Villa Tranquila, hoping for several days of relaxing times at the pool with some trips to the beach and local activities. Really could not have asked for a better stay. The folks from Stay in Tamarindo were very helpful and accomodating. We were able to set up van rentals for our arrival, helped us with a few adventure trips during our stay, and just generally made sure everything was going well. Mariam was especially helpful. Eugene, Sary, and the rest of the kind people at Villa Tranquila went above and beyond to make this a memorable visit. There were very few issues, but if anything came up, Eugene and Sary were available to help right away. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our time at Villa Tranquila. The food was wonderful each and every day, the house was beautiful and clean throughout, and the kids had a lot of fun with the iguanas in the area. The complex itself feels very safe, and the beaches are wonderful. All in all, a dream vacation.

Gorgeous Property -- Be sure to witness the Playa Langosta sunsets!

Our group of 15 had a wonderful stay, this past June, at Villa Tranquila. The pool area is relaxing but the private beach is a must. The waves were perfect for jumping and the sunset was magnificent every evening. The property managers go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. I recommend taking advantage of the grocery service ahead of time. You'll save time and money. I also recommend renting a couple of golf carts to get around the community. The meals that were prepared for us during our stay were amazing. The common areas of the home are great for visiting, playing cards, dancing, eating, etc. Each suite has its own balcony or patio, which is a beautiful touch. (Just make sure you unlock the door before going out! ;-) We loved the fact that we were close enough to the city to enjoy some shopping, but had the luxury of going back to our private retreat without any neighbors to disturb. Before our 4 night stay at Villa Tranquila, we stayed 4 nights near the Arenal Volcano. Both areas of Costa Rica are beautiful, but in very different ways. We wanted to give our family a taste of both. At this point, I believe, everyone is looking forward to returning. :-)

Piece of Heaven

We really and truly enjoyed this vacation spot/home. I have written a review with some in depth information that was too long for this site. I can email to someone if they want or place on another page. Regardless this was HEAVEN for me and my friends. THANKS to Eugene, Sary, Miriam (sp), Miguel, and I two amazing ladies that helped us daily. I do not know how to spell their names. However, they felt like family to me. PURA VIDA!!!!
