Another great visit to the Paddle Inn
We had another great stay!! Our family of 5 was very comfortable and really appreciated all of the well thought out amenities like the coffee bar! We enjoyed the restaurants close by. Great fishing -panfish - bass -northerns -and a musky follow up to the boat!! Brought our boat which worked out great! Nice launch. Looking forward to our next visit.

Unbelievable sunsets
We had a great week in this very clean, cute cabin. Gorgeous property! Sunsets unreal! Loved my naps on the swing down by the dock. Everything you need is available. So comfy.
Most fine! Great location—maybe a dozen or so miles outside downtown Minocqua—and comfortable. Lovely grounds on the lake. Enjoyed our stay very much. Looking forward to a return trip.

Paddle inn on Buckskin
This is a very cute cabin on the lake. The house was clean and well stocked with essentials. So many family games available for any rainy days! Fishing off the dock was perfect for young kids, the bluegills loved smaller worms, but truthfully would go after an empty hook too! A bald eagle has a nest on the island in front of the pier so look out for it perching in the trees or diving to catch fish! We didn’t have much luck fishing from our boat for larger species, but there are so many lakes in the area it’s easy to hop around. The lake itself is very quiet, not a ton of boat traffic so it was great to sit on the swing or pier and watch the gorgeous sunsets. It’s not a super far drive in to the main town of Minocqua (20-25min) so this cabin is the perfect getaway spot for relaxation with the convenience of shopping/activities not to far away!

A home away from home
This is a cute 2 bedroom place that was clean and ready to go when we got there! There's fishing right off of the dock or a boat launch is located just down the road. Located close enough to Minocqua but yet you're away from it all. We say "home away from home" too because there was a washer & dryer (complimentary pods) to wash up a few things you might need, a great size fridge (with ice/water dispenser), air conditioner, gas grill, fire pit and a mini dishwasher (again with complimentary pods) so more time to spend relaxing! And when we left we could just close the door and go! Everything else was taken care of. We'll be back!

Beautiful North Woods Retreat (but Awful Fishing)
We loved our stay at Paddle Inn. Hosts thought of everything. Cabin was super clean. We listened to the loons every morning, from rocking chairs on the porch. Fire pit area is great. Dock, kayaks and paddle boat were perfect. The only drawback (and for us, this was major) was Buckskin Lake. It has apparently had major fish kills over the past few years. The fishing was horrible — not a single walleye, pike or musky over a full week. It’s a terrific getaway. If you don’t want to fish, it’s amazing. If you do, skip anything on Buckskin Lake.

Fun & relaxing family vacation in a super comfortable place!
We spent a week at the Paddle Inn on Buckskin Lake and had a fun & relaxing time! The cabin was very comfortable for our family of 5 (which includes 3 young adults). Wifi was great for those who wanted (or needed) to stay connected. Otherwise, we mostly enjoyed the our time outside: campfires (nearly every night), stargazing (we saw the northern lights two nights in a row!) paddle boarding (we brought our own), kayaking (we used a kayak from the property), boating (we brought our own - the launch provided easy access); and lots of successful fishing trips! We loved the location of the house & the lake: it felt remote, but it was also an easy trip to Minocqua. We really enjoyed spending time on the front porch of the cabin, and also on the oversized swing that overlooks the lake - placed perfectly between the cabin & the walk down to the lake, making it a great little spot for morning coffee, book reading, or a nap! Thanks to the owners for thinking of the little things that made it so relaxing: a well-stocked coffee bar, firewood, kayaks, extra pillows & blankets, & a generous amount of (& thoughtfully placed) connections for phones/laptops, etc.
