This is a sweet little place to stay! Very cozy and comfortable. It was perfect for my needs--a bed, a shower, and easy access to the places I was going. And I booked last minute. The mattress left something to be desired and there wasn't a way to cool things down in the heat other than the fan, but otherwise a perfect retreat. I love the back terrace and all the plants around.
nice location, good communication with hosts. Bathroom was musty, and I have allergies to mold and mildew, so that was a bit of an issue. I wish the coffee pot had some instructions.
Small but well appointed room. Location close to I10. Hoped for a freezer, perhaps next time. Bed was comfortable. Neighborhood quiet.

We’re sorry that our small refrigerator did not have a
have a large enough freezer for Paula. Two of the photos show the small refrigerator. Our small refrigerator has a standard small freezer.
I booked this room last-minute after realizing I wouldn't be able to affordably book a hotel stay nearby at a hotel near the Tuscon Convention Center where I was attending a conference. The room was ready for me when I got there despite the late booking. The house is within walking distance of the convention center, just a couple of blocks south. The entry was a little confusing, but that was on me not fully reading the instructions before I got there. There are a couple of spaces to stay, both entries are behind the house through the main gate in the front of the house, to the left around the back. I stayed in the guest room attached to the main house, and it was perfect for just me. There were amenities I never would have expected, simple things, but the kind of things I would have paid quite a lot for if I had stayed at a hotel. Kay & Bob provided waters and soda free of charge in a small refrigerator just outside the room, which I'm sure make a huge difference to those traveling during the Summer, but were greatly appreciated even in March. There was a microwave and coffee maker in the room, fully stocked with coffee and tea. The one little perk I found unique and was grateful for was the travel utensil packets, something you don't think about until you need it, bringing restaurant leftovers back to your room. Bob and Kay are super sweet people who care about their guests, and provide a wonderful value for people who stay with them.
The room was clean, typical amenities, except for having controls over the ac/heat. When i checked in i was informed they control the temperature in the room which, i found was not comfortable for me. I would not stay in the room in the summer months since i was informed they keep the temperature at 80 during the day. I had to keep the inside door open at all times and the ceiling fan on to be able to sleep. I also thought it was in poor taste to advertise their personal political opinions on the house which i found offensive. The mattress could stand to be replaced as well. Parking is also challenging.

First of all we want to thank Lynn for staying with us.
Now we’ll address those issues that she found disappointing.
Our guest room is part of our home. As such it does not have a separate heating/cooing system for individual rooms.
However we do try to take into consideration our guests requests to the ability we can as we live here also.
We regularly keep our house at 75 degrees during the day and lower during the night if requested to do so. Lynn chose to open the inside door and leave the security lock door closed and locked. As she said we have a ceiling fan also.
As for our personal political opinions on the house, it is our house and just as we do not ask what our guests political opinions are, we reserve the right to display our political opinions. Especially since they support our democracy and country in these troubled times.
The mattress was replaced recently and is less than 2 years old.
We have a large parking area in the back of our house and she could have chosen to park there. She chose the street in the front of our house instead. Unfortunately for her she parked in front of our neighbors driveway and we had to ask her to move her car.
And as for the “typical” amenities, only if they include free coffee, soda, and water and also free granola bars.
