Loved this property because of the views of the gulf from the back porch and sunsets from the side porch. There are lots for sale in front of the house so new construction could effect the view in the future, but it will still be a very short walk to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. House was very well laid out. A/C worked great!

The house was very clean and just as described. Everything appeared to be in excellent condition and the host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here, well-worth it!

We had a wonderful week. The check in was simple. The house had been remodeled and was beautiful. The communication with the owner was great. Basic needs were fulfilled within a short period of time. Unobstructed view of the gulf with easy access to the beach. We would come back again.

Warm getaway

This property is in a great location. We went to the beach almost everyday! It’s still within a good distance to downtown Galveston. Only complaint was that the upstairs TV didn’t work

Amazing time.

Awesome house for a family of four. Beach is super close. House was clean and had everything you needed. If you want the best beach head south 12 mins and go to the intercostal area right before the bridge. Also Kate’s for dinner and sunflower for breakfast.

Overall was a great getaway the only problem I had was the tv in the living room the sound wasn’t working so the kids wasn’t able to watch tv there! Beautiful house and view!!

We arrived at the beach house Monday at check in time 4pm to double trash cans full of trash that stunk so bad. Even the recycling bin was full of non-recycling trash. It was trash that smelled so bad that it appeared to have been there for several days and the smell penetrated through the beach house. There was a horrible smell around the front door that did not go away. I immediately called and of course no one answered. I did leave a message and I also sent a message through the Vrbo app. I had previously inquired about parking and was told in the Vrbo app that you can park under the beach house. There is absolutely no parking under the beach house. Grass was not cut, and no working lights on the outside stairs which was very dangerous at darkness. One of the doors going outside on the bottom level inside, the beach house did not lock. I sent another email through the Vrbo app about the door not locking. I received a response in the Vrbo app saying that they will prioritize this and someone will come out Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning came and no one came out. I never heard from anyone so I messaged again about the door and was told that they could not give me an estimated time when someone could come and fix the door so the door never got fixed. We put chairs under the door knob. We could not find the remote control in the bunk bedroom, which I messaged about as well. A strip was hanging on the the upstairs that I messaged about as well. I have pictures.

Great location away from all the crowds in Galveston!

What a great little two bedroom one and a half bath beach house! The View was beautiful. Having multiple patios was very nice especially the private one for the master .The house is clean smelled nice, the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well! We had several issues that had to be dealt with pretty rapidly when we first got there. It didn't appear to be any negligence on the part of the homeowner but rather looked like Fallout due to the recent hurricane. Other than that it was very relaxing and I didn't want to go. ult

My stay here was exactly what I needed for a solo week of recovery. I spent most of my time on the upper back deck in my hammock listening to the waves and avoiding people.However relaxing my stay was, I noticed quite a few things that I would recommend for improvement. The cleanliness was excellent, however basic cleaning supplies were missing (such as a multi-purpose cleaner & broom/dust pan), so cleaning up small messes were not possible.The kitcheSome maintenance needs exist around the property. On the first floor, the front porch light does not work, the downstairs toilet wobbles when used & needs to be affixed. A slight smell of mildew is present in the dresser in the downstairs bedroom. The light switches are confusing and could use labeling.The blinds in the upstairs kitchen window overlooking the water are no longer functional and literally hanging on by a thread. An industrial table positioned as a work desk has 1 wheel that is attached with a clamp - this really needs to be repaired correctly. A nightly roach would visit, I named him Fred and tried to make peace with him but would rather not have seen him around.Outside the house you can tell the owners are struggling with the salt air. Wood on the property is aged, so be cautious of splinters. Any nails present are rusting in place, leaving rust streaks - this is very apparent on the upper back porch. Overall this problem gives the place a shoddy appearance not in alignment with their profile pictures.

Excellent location

I fully understand a hurricane has just went thru the week before, but goodness.. that’s no excuse for the uncleanliness of the inside of the house. Mold on the bed pillows, dust, dirt and dead bugs under all the furniture, grease dripping from the ventilation fan over the stove, mold in the tub and in the washing machine… as a property manager for a vrbo listing myself,I was horrified. I am the house keeper for my property and I would never allow it to be so dirty. Dead bugs and someone else’s hair in the beds…. A dehumidifier needs to be ran at all times along with leaving the washer door open to keep things dry so mold does not grow. Folks with mold allergies or asthma should not stay here. I took photos of everything… so there is proof.

We enjoyed this property. Great view of the ocean and easy walk to the beach. One great add-on option would’ve been a baby gate. We traveled with a 2yo and the interior steps are quite steep. We definitely would’ve paid extra for the gate!
