We have the blender you bring the drinks to Feelin’ TipSea, a West Galveston beach house! This 3 bedroom 2 baths quaint beachside home in Spanish Grant is located on a low-traffic lot-perfect for families with kids. It is a short 2 minute walk to the private beach accessible only to the residents and vacationers in Spanish Grant-no vehicle traffic to disturb your relaxing day on the beach and not fighting crowds for a spot on the beach. Feelin’ TipSea can easily sleep up to 10 guests.

The home showcases vaulted stained planked ceilings. The well-appointed living/kitchen provides views to the gulf and is complete with a large island that seats 4 and dining table that seats 8. The main living area on the first floor has ceramic tile and all of the bedrooms have carpet. The second floor bedroom with stained planked ceilings is currently used as a bunk room with 3 sets of bunk beds. The ground floor has a hot/cold shower to rinse the sand away, washer, and dryer. Additional features include WiFi, smart TVs (in living room and bunk room), and board games for family friendly competition.
The horizon views of the Gulf of Mexico can be enjoyed from the deck on the sturdy patio furniture with wine or coffee in hand. The wrap around deck makes for a great sunrise or sunset view point. The ground level has a large picnic table, a charcoal grill, and outdoor lighting that makes a great place to hang out day or night. The ground level storage room contains beach chairs and a wagon full of kids beach toys (buckets, shovels, etc.).

Great, low-key beach getaway

Everything went great. Tons of places to sleep, literally a two minute walk to a private beach, and close enough to the city to duck out for dinner or groceries. We'll be coming back.

Family Vacation

The home is as described. Compact, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, walking distance to beach. Host responded quickly especially to my questions the week of check in. Quiet location away from Galveston proper congestion during holiday or peak season but close enough to grocery store and attractions. We would stay again.

We had a fabulous stay at the house. The girls enjoyed having the bunk room to themselves and we older ladies enjoyed the bedrooms on the main level. So happy to have a walk-in shower. Kitchen facilities were great and it was really nice having access to the washer and dryer. Would definitely recommend it. My favorite place was sitting on the porch watching the waves and the pelican fly-bys.

The location is great not far away from all activities

Excellent location, plenty of parking, easy access to the beach and it was good to have a full bathroom downstairs that way we did not have to go upstairs to use the bathroom.

Loved this property and easy beach access, also not too far from Seawall. First time staying in a rental away from the main strip or a hotel and we loved it. Definitely recommend this location and this host.

Great property close to everything. We had a group of 6 guys and it accommodated all of us. This was a great location for doing everything at the Lone Star Rally.

Great Time and Place during the Lone Star Rally... Always come down with the same people every year... Found this little gem on one of our trips and everybody enjoyed this house.... Clean, Spacious, Well Equipped, Everything you need for a Relaxing Weekend.... Jeffery the Host was Great.... Hope to stay here again in the future.....

Nice Family House

This house had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was great for the kids! Although a little smaller than other houses we have stayed at, it never seemed to be a problem. The wrap-around porch was so nice to sit on in the evenings with the gulf breeze coming up the street from the gulf. The walk to the beach was short and easy - the beach is right off the end of the road. I would definitely recommend this place.

Seconds to beach

This was a great spot. Seconds to the beach and a quick few minutes to the seawall. The place had a ton of room for a bunch of kids to hang out and play upstairs. Good cable TV and wifi. Great little shed downstairs with beach stuff and a full bath. Jeff was super responsive and a nice guy. Thanks for having us!

Family vacation disrupted

Our family vacation started great. The children were excited to sleep in the bunk beds. Little did we know that the room with bunk beds is infested with bedbugs. 3 out of the 6 children were bitten by bed bugs. The youngest being 7 years old. We know for sure it was from our stay in the beach house. We even found one of the bed bugs on the trundle bed. We sent the owner of the house photos with no resolution. The owner simply replied they could be mosquitoes and thanked us for being it to their attention. Mosquitoes don’t leave a trail of bite marks. We are perplexed as to why this house has a 5 star rating. We would have never rented it if we had known our children would be eaten alive every night from bed bugs. Also, we encountered sugar ants in the kitchen. We couldn’t leave any food on the counters. Our goal is to make other families aware. We sincerely hope the home is exterminated and bedding is replaced.

We enjoy sailing our catamaran out on the Gulf of Mexico, long sunset walks, and building sandcastles on the beach. This is our family vacation beach house and we hope you love it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

The Spanish Grant Subdivision is located with close proximity to shops, restaurants and attractions. The rich history, unique restaurants and shops in downtown Galveston add to the overall getaway experience. The house is minutes from all the local Galveston attractions but far enough from the sea wall to enjoy the quiet, peaceful beach. The beach has restricted vehicle access making it a private beach that makes it uncrowded regardless of weekend or holiday. No vehicle traffic on the beach makes it perfect for children.
