I rented the cottage for the weekend of my daughter's wedding. It was a super cute cottage, and perfectly themed to get us in the mood for her big day. A seamless checkin and checkout was appreciated, as well as the prompt and thorough communication.
Nice place It is an old house so the floors are pretty noisy Beds we’re great could us some more hooks in the bathroom for towels Area fairly quiet Nice downtown area to walkClose to Arrowhead stadium which was great
We loved the Stonehouse. It was very comfortable and easily accessible to downtown KC. The kitchen is well stocked so we could cook our own meals. I would highly recommend it if you are visiting the KC area.BTW, we did not do the winery experience, so I really do not have any rating on that.
My 2 friends and I came for an out of town girls’ weekend. We absolutely loved the charm and coziness of the 1920’s cottage-bungalow-craftsman! The place was clean and safe, close to Englewood art district.
We travel frequently and some places use old pictures or try to hide things. We were very impressed with the Stone House. Nothing was hidden in the pictures and everything was just as it was shown. It was a very accurate description of all of the amenities. We also enjoyed the house and found it very relaxing.
Clean and comfortable, nicely remodeled and the little up and coming arts district was great. Inglewood is a lot different than when I was growing up in Independence.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, location
House was clean for most part except for spider webs and spiders in window sills and low corners of rooms. Power outlets sparked in front bedroom, we quickly unplugged items and didn't use that outlet. No working fire extinguisher found in house, only one available was on back porch empty. Single pane windows and furnishings age appropriate for house charm, however furniture was very uncomfortable and single pane windows made central a/c overworked. We had a major problem with central a/c NOT working on high 80's temp day, I ended up becoming ill due to the heat in the house. We had to cut short our vacation and left the property after only one night's stay out of our 5 day rental. Property rental manager refusing to issue refund stating they had problem fixed within an hour AFTER we had left (convenient). Area was noisy, with loud cars driving by this corner lot property all night long. Back door of house non-existant, so uninsulated back porch open to rest of house--possibly ANOTHER reason central a/c was struggling to work well /or at all. Beds are only foam mattresses making them also uncomfortable to sleep on and hot due to body heat. If you want old world charm authenticity this property is awesome, if you require modern world necessities like working a/c of 75 degrees or lower on 88-90 degree days then this rental property is not for you.
Upon first entering the home, you feel like you’re transported back in time. Very clean and well kept home. Renovation was done to a very high standard with new appliances and easy to access cabinets. It is right next to a bus stop which does make for a few times when you wonder “now who is this person in the side yard?” But nothing too bad. A fantastic stay and would stay again.
