Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean and wonderfully laid out. The kitchen was well stocked and views of the ocean made morning coffee a delight. The location to the beach was also amazing. We were unable to use the volleyball court as there is a ton of rocks in the sand and the lawn didn't appear to have been mowed for weeks. Other than that it was our favorite house yet and i would stay here again.

Another good OBX vacay

Another great vacation in Corolla. House is in a great location, and kitchen was stocked well enough for cooking throughout the week. Both the property management and property owners were very responsive to any issues.

Home away from home

The house was very clean and easily accommodated our large group. Though our vacation started 2 days late because of hurricane Dorian, we had a wonderful time. Corolla had also gotten 5" of rain the night before we arrived and roads were flooded...but the home owner called to check and make sure that everything was ok and to call if we needed anything. We had a great time and made lots of memories!

It was great! The house was very clean and well maintained. We did have to call about a loose deck railing and maintenance was there to fix it within a couple hours. Very easy to walk or bike to many restaurants and shops. Thanks for sharing your home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is lovely and well situated for beautiful ocean views and easy access to the beach. The interior was clean, bright, and comfortable. With the pandemic we were searching for a place rated well for cleaning practices and this location met those standards and the owners posted a letter on the refrigerator to explain the extra care being taken with their home. The property management company staff were helpful and courteous but we were uneasy to find they did not wear masks for the indoor pick up and drop off of the keys for this property.

Corolla, Ruggles Too Review

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 12 stayed at Ruggles Too in Corolla Aug 2-9. Traffic was a nightmare as soon as we came over the bridge, taking over 2.5 hours just to get through Duck. We picked up our keys/packet in Duck, at the drop box and stopped for dinner at 7:30 where we discovered the keys were not in the packet. We had to sit outside of the home until 10 PM when someone finally arrived with the keys. We were told they would credit us a whopping $100. The home is lovely, huge, very clean, comfortable beds and looks just like the photos. As all our beach days were double red flag days (no ocean swimming too rough) we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The walk to the beach access is not across the street as photos lead you to believe, but just a 5 min walk to Dolphin St. access. We lucked out and had lifeguards at the Dolphin St. access. We rented bikes for our teens allowing them the freedom to bike to stores, etc. On the last day my son stepped on a nailhead (there were several) sticking up on the top deck which took a big chunk out of his foot. I reported it and they said they would send maintenance. We decided to leave Friday afternoon as we didn't want to get stuck in horrible traffic Saturday, it still took well over an hour to get through Duck. Corolla is lovely and it was nice to try a new place as we have always gone to Coastal Delaware, however, this is a one and done for us.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd year at Ruggles Too. There are many things to love about this property. It is clean and has a welcoming feel. There is beach access across the street but this is “supposed to be” a private walkway for the neighbor house that is to the left (if facing and looking at the front of the house from the street). We have been lucky the last 2 years that our neighbors were nice enough to allow us to use it. If not, you have to use public access which about 4 houses down. Otherwise, the pool is great and the outdoor shower is very nice. The layout of the house works well for our fam. The only thing I wish was that there were some kind of activity like corn hole, horse shoes, ping pong, an arcade game for the kids, darts- anything. There is a volleyball court but...... it’s not something our young kids are in to and the yard/grass I guess doesn’t get cut so it’s not a very welcoming activity. Some sort of activity and keyless entry would be such a huge bonus for this place. Otherwise, the maintenance staff and Carolina shores are very professional and helpful. We had one issue while there that was taken care of quickly. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. It’s very convenient to the grocery store and shops. We have reserved for next year but are keeping an eye out for other places that have what I mention above is important to us and wish Ruggles had! Thank you for sharing your home with us :)

The positives are a super clean house, well stocked kitchen, large pool, proximity to shopping and new decking. The negatives are a very small common living area which makes it hard for all the adults to gather in one place. Awesome Week at Whalehead Beach

We had a wonderful week in this house. The house was spotless and inviting. And it’s location was perfect - across the street from the wonderful beach and a short walk from food shopping and other services. We look forward to visiting again next year!

Relaxing week

Great location close to beach! Owners called our first day to see if we have any questions or issues which was above and beyond. Pool was great for the days we didn’t go to the beach.

Decent house in a good location

Property is very clean inside. However, some items need attention. The dish washer does not dry the dishes. The blender is broken. Some of the mattresses are very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. On the outside, the house is not much to look at in the front. The back yard is very neglected. Several dead trees laying on the side of the property. The grass was 2 to 3 feet tall in the back. The volleyball court was overgrown with grass and not usable. The pool was decent with couple of minor items that needed repair (drain cover loose, one of the steps on the ladder lose with screw falling out). The porch and the deck around the house needs maintenance. For the money that is being asked, this house needs more upkeep and maintenance.

Stay in Corolla

We stayed in the property in Corolla over the Thanksgiving week with friends and family. We had a wonderful time and the place was very clean. One thing that isn't clear from the pictures that I would recommend is updates of the appliances. The appliances did work, but didn't fit quality-wise as compared with the rest of the house. Otherwise, a lovely place to gather together!

The location was really great especially for not being an oceanfront house. The pool and the hot tub were clean and well-maintained, it was perfect for the October weather after several hours at the beach each day. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of cookware and utensils which we appreciated since we enjoy cooking all our meals. It was obvious the owner takes pride in their property and wants others to care for it as well. The house was neat and clean but there needs to be more attention to thoroughly cleaning the kitchen. Thank you for a memorable and completely relaxing vacay! I would happily recommend this property and also be delighted to return.

Wonderful place!

This was a great place that accommodated 15 family members. Owners called and when small concern was identified they sent maintenance the very next day. Beach access was great and house had a great ocean view. Shops were close by. Would definitely stay here again.
