Nice size house with beautiful view of the lake from sitting on the deck. We enjoyed using the paddle boat and kayak during the day and sitting around the fire pit at night.
Perfect Lake location!! Our family had a great vacation. We enjoyed fishing every day and canoeing off our own private dock. The house was perfect and the beds were so comfortable Great fire pit area down by the lake I can’t wait to go back again
My family stayed for a week in October. The house is in a beautifully location with exceptional views from the dock. Comfortably arranged with lots of things for occupying the kids! We traveled throughout the Poconos and surrounding areas, did a fall train ride and visited the Crayola factory. We saw many deer, toads, squirrels and a beaver every morning. Lots of fantastic memories to cherish! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
We had so much fun and relaxation during our stay. The lake was great. Didn't catch any fish but still had a great time. We loved the fire pit and hanging lights while playing Cornhole. Great time and can't wait to come back next year. Thanks
We had a wonderful time reconnecting and enjoying this lakefront property. While I had challenges making the final payment, the property manager was very helpful.
The location is really nice. The lake is small and quiet. The beach at the lake is also very nice. The house should be shut down for several months and actually renovated. When we got there we found:-The screen door for the deck door was laying down on the deck. It doesn’t fit or work. -One of the knobs on the stove had been broken and replaced with something that doesn’t fit. Our daughter started the burner but then it wouldn’t turn off we were able to turn it off because I happened to have pliers in my truck. -The dishwasher is not attached to anything. When you pull the door open the whole unit comes out. -There are other issues like old rotten window trim that has been painted over seventy-four times that don’t exactly impact the quality of the stay but show the level of pride in ownership. Owner was responsive by message and resolved one other fairly minor issue we had.Put it this way. If it was a hotel I would have asked for another room and at least a discount.
My family recently spent a week at this property. I will say that it is as shown in the photo's and description. The lower level with foosball, poker table and tv were a big hit with everyone. It does not have central air conditioning but window units in all the rooms. There is no swimming off the dock but that was spelled out clearly on vrbo. There are beach areas for swimming and they are great for kids but not really for adults. The screen door on the slider to the deck did not stay on track and kept falling off. I will say that the exterior needed some work and sprucing up. The yard needed a mowing and some outside furniture should be replaced. Listing says there is room for four cars in the driveway but it can accommodate 6 if need be. I didn't understand why the house could be rented to a maximum of 8 people since it could accommodate 10, but read in the community book that it is a township regulation that you can only rent to 2 people per bedroom. Thus 8 people. I ran into a great deal of confusion because the property manager changed immediately prior to our arrival and I got mixed messages but that worked itself out. I will say that I have rented thru VRBO for at least 10 years and I have never had to fill out so many forms in all that time. First there is a lengthy form by Happy Guest then another form by the Locust Lake Association. Had I known how complicated the registration would have been I would have looked elsewhere.
