About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

The perfect house for your classic Adirondack lake family vacation. Labor Day Weekend Special, 3 nights $1,000 ($500 savings). Swim, fish, and boat all day. Relax around the campfire at night. Our house sits on the north shore of the lake, giving it a fabulous view, southern exposure, and a sandy bottom (no weeds). Trout Lake is regularly rated one of the most pristine lakes in the Adirondacks.

This four season home was built in 1997 and is in excellent condition. The front of the home faces the lake and includes a covered porch to enjoy the views and listen to the loons. The back of the home has property that overlooks a protected bay. Most of the rooms have water views, including an enclosed side porch with a high table and chairs. The back yard is big enough for family fun.

This is a three bedroom, two bath house with an open floor plan. All rooms are decorated in the Adirondack style. The kitchen is fully equipped and features an island for extra counter space. Enjoy a family meal around the large country style dining room table. There is a first floor master bedroom with a queen bed and doors that open to the lake, The master bedroom also includes a full bath, making this house easily accessible for individuals having difficulty with mobility. One upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The other upstairs bedroom has two twins and a bunk bed, a perfect kids room. There is a full bath on the second floor as well. A pull out queen sofa bed in the living room provides extra sleeping space.

Our house also includes a fishing motorboat, canoe, paddle boat, sandbox and fire pit, all ready for your use. Firewood is included. The house located on a peninsula, giving it water access from both the front and back. The dock with the fishing boat is located on a sheltered bay in the back of the property and includes room for your own boat. The lake is small enough that it is never crowded, but large enough to enjoy all water sports. All Linens and towels are provided. Just pack your clothes and food and come enjoy a vacation you will never forget!

This isn’t just an ideal summer home, it is also particularly great in the fall and winter for weekend getaways. Fishing is exceptional from late-May through June. Come sit by the gas fireplace in the living room which overlooks the lake.

Why Michael Catanzaro chose Thousand Islands

This home was bought to provide a place for our family around the northeast to get together. In the few years we have owned the house, we have already made many wonderful family memories.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here was the first stop in a trip down memory lane, having been in the Adirondaks years ago. We had a terrific time at this house on Trout Lake. It came equipped with everything we could possibly need. The lake was right out the back door, with chairs and a table lakeside. Our host was handily next door but we didn't need him for anything regarding the house, just info about the area. Would come back in a heartbeat if we could.

Great hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

Being from the area, my family and I were more than pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and accommodations. This truly is a hidden gem-driving by the signs for Trout Lake, I never imagined it was such a beautiful area right here in the North Country. Not only was the view great, the cabin was gorgeous...we had everything we needed and were more than comfortable. The kids enjoyed everything, from playing the board games inside, to swimming, kayaking, and expecially the sandbox! It was definitely the weekend getaway our family needed and enjoyed. Thank you so much!

Gorgeous house in an awesome spot

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the best spots on Trout Lake! Private dock and porch right on the water (you can hear the waves on the shore at night if you keep your window open and the master bedroom has a sliding door onto the front porch). Lots of room, including 2 bathrooms and a total of 3 bedrooms- 2 bedrooms upstairs (with 5 beds total) and a master bedroom. There's also a floating dock, fire pit and plenty of kayaks. There's a full kitchen with a dishwasher. Along with the full front porch, there's also a screened in side porch that's great for sitting out at night (if you're not by the fire pit!). This lake is beautiful and not crowded, so if you're looking for a more secluded location or an alternative to more touristy spots this summer, you can't find a better place.

Perfect for a family of 6!

  • 5 of 5

Where do we begin!

We showed up to a very clean home with the breeze running through the house and a clear view to the lake. The house is even closer to the water than the pictures indicate, which we loved.

The layout of the home is perfect for families with younger children, like ours. The bedroom setup with 2 BRs with 5 beds total upstairs, including bunk beds and the master downstairs on the main level worked really well for us. It was great to keep the sliding door to the master BR open at night to feel the breeze and hear the water.

The large kitchen had everything we needed to cook and prep local food found at the Canton farmer's market (30 minutes away) on Tuesdays. Food can all be purchased in Canton at the market or the grocery store. We were also able to take advantage of the fire pit and cook Smores one night.

The lake experience was second to none, with access to a fishing boat, kayaks, paddle boat, kid's paddle boat (which was awesome), canoe, floating dock and a sandpit that the girls played in for hours. The owners were very accommodating and transparent and took our girls fishing and tubing. Which was a very special treat that the girls loved!

It did rain one day and we drove to a WILD center (about 1.5 hours away) in Tupper Lake and it was a perfect way to spend a rainy day with the girls.

The property is a perfect change of pace for our family and we look forward to coming back next summer.

Lovely Lakefront

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake house. It is just as lovely as the pictures. What a treat it was to have such comfortable accommodations right on the lake! Just a few steps and we were in the water. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. There are many islands on the lake providing calm waters to paddle and sights to explore. The huge kitchen made it easy to cook for our big family and a few extras! We enjoyed relaxing on the porches, cooking on the grill, and making fires in the fire pit. Already dreaming about next year...
