Quaint Waterfront Cottage. Quick walk to the beach

Wecome to Flee to the Sea! This quaint waterfront cottage is a newbie to the rental program and has been completely renovated top to bottom. You will love the location... waterfront home on a quiet street and a quick walk to one of the greatest beaches on the Outer Banks. Stroll down the convenient beach access or drive on the beach at one of the many OVR beach accesses.
Located in a quiet waterfront neighborhood in Northern Avon, and just a quick walk to the beach. The locals coined the phrase "MDNA" ( most desirable northern Avon). Convenient to many local shops, restaurants, ice cream and coffee houses.
This location is also convenient to spend the day fishing, kite surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or boarding a small boat. Fish and catch crabs from our dock! Included with your stay is the use of our three kayaks (1 adult and 2 children's) and stand-up paddleboard which can easily be launched right outside our back door.
Inside the home you will find an open floor plan with renovated kitchen. New stainless steel appliances will make cooking your meals convenient, and the kitchen comes well stocked with all the items you will need. The three bedrooms include two queen beds and 2 single beds. Cable TV and high speed WIFI is provided and smart TVs allow access to all your streaming apps. The kids bedroom is super fun with a custom built- in bunk bed. One full bath with tub is located between the two master bedrooms. The lower level includes onsite laundry with brand new washer and dryer. Plus and extra refrigerator to store all your goodies.
Outside you will find two large decks and our dock to view the amazing sunsets the Outer Banks are known for. The lower level allows for covered parking and is convenient to the outdoor grill, outdoor shower and fish cleaning station. The upper decks are huge allowing for some extra living space, and is perfect for watching the sunset. The views are spectacular!
To make your stay more fun, access to our three kayaks, stand-up paddleboard are all included which can easily be launched right from our back door. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, wagon are also provided.
Basic toiletries are provided to get you started
(shampoo/conditioner and body wash).

This is the perfect little house for a small family! It was clean. The host was very responsive. It’s in a great location with a very easy walk to the beach, coffee shop, and bait shop! There’s also a restaurant within walking distance. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware. My only regret was not taking advantage of the kayaks!

The house was very clean with all amenities that you need. Walking distance to beach access, coffee shops, and restaurants. If you bring a bike, you’ll never need to drive. The host is very responsive and accommodating.

The house is small but it offers a lot. It’s the perfect place for a couple or small family to get some much needed rest and relaxation. The house is tucked back at the end of a canal, which is great for fishing and kayaking and conveniently located to all that Avon has to offer.

We would like to say "Thank You" and that we really enjoyed our stay at the Melini's Family Beach House. Your vacation home is wonderful and was just as described on the VRBO App. We enjoyed the location to all things in and around Avon, NC. We found it so cool to sit out on the decks that overlooked the Sound Inlet that was right outside your doors! During our stay, incurred a few snags but the owners were quick to address them. Id like to also send out a BIG "THANK YOU" to CS Home Repair, Owner, Chase Stearns, who oversees this property/concerns for the owner. Chase came out to the property within an hour and accessed the AC Unit problem we were having and immediately got the ball rolling to correct it. He assured us that no matter what we would have a cooling unit even if he had to bring a window AC unit from his own house! Now that is Excellent Customer Service !!!In resolution to this issue, the property owners purchased a brand new AC Window Unit and Chase was there the next morning to install it! Id like to thank the Melini Family for their quick timing in addressing our situation to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
