The Stone Hut Àr en tvÄ vÄningar stuga (800 kvadratmeter) med ett queen sovrum nere och tvÄ queen sovrum pÄ övervÄningen.
Sovrum 1 (Granitrum) UPSTAIRS Àr rymligt med en queen size-sÀng och sittgrupp framför fönstren med en kaffekanna, varmvattenkaraff, brödrost, te och kaffe. Den Àr ansluten via fackdörr till andra sovrummet (Northridge) som har en queen size-sÀng, stort fönster och separat ingÄng. Fantastisk utsikt över Alaska Range frÄn alla rum. Dessa tvÄ sovrum delar ett badrum.
NEDSTAIRS-rummet Àr Boulder-rummet och ligger utanför vardagsrummet. Den har en queen size-sÀng och öppningsfönster. Boulderrummet Àr anslutet till vardagsrummet via fickeldörren. Vardagsrummet har stora fönster, en öppningsdörr och utsikt över Alaska Range. Det finns ett litet badrum och dusch pÄ första vÄningen. Pentryet har ett litet kylskÄp, tvÄ brÀnnare spishÀll, mikrovÄgsugn, diskbÀnk, kaffebryggare och kastruller och kokkÀrl. Granitrummet pÄ övervÄningen Àr Ätkomligt med spiraltrappa eller separat ingÄng frÄn utsidan. De
Stenhytten var specialbyggd av Àgaren, med sten accenter bÄde ute och inne. Stenen Hut ligger pÄ en stor fastighet med anlagda grÀsmattor och stora stenblock. Stenhytten har tillgÄng till dÀck, samt ett separat omrÄde pÄ grÀsmattan med picknickbord och stolar.

Very interesting property. Unfortunately, due to rainy weather, we missed seeing the exceptional view of Denali, but I’m sure it would have been wonderful. For four senior adults, it was a bit tricky. Three senior adults stayed upstairs, and the spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge (for me, due to joint issues). Host was responsive, and check-in was smooth.

Quirky and cozy! Amazing view, a quick drive to Talkeetna, we’d definitely stay here again. Note: you must pass through one bedroom to get to another (or go outside) so not a ton of privacy.

Overall, our stay was decent, but there are a few things that could use improvement, however we noticed some efforts to improve the property. The small details did effect the overall cleanliness and first impression of the property. Additionally, the online pictures gave us a slightly different expectation of the space, especially the stairs and bathrooms.

Gorgeous and unique house with a phenomenal direct view of Denali. Easily accessible in the summer. Short drive to town for good food. Not a good house for kids or people unsteady on their feet. Back deck has some dry rot/holes as well so be careful. Three separate BnBs on the property but easy to get privacy inside yours.

The destination is the reward!

Amazing doesn’t do credit to describe the Stone Hut. We are a family of five adults and found the space a perfect fit for our needs. The property has two other structures in close proximity, but you feel transported to your own private ski hut. Olde world craftsmanship, perfectly complimented by tasteful and well thought out decor surrounds you. Yes, you can see Denali from the property on a clear day! The beds were all comfortable, with handmade quilts and plenty of extra blankets if needed. The kitchen is well stocked, and there’s no wasted space in the hut. Great communication, easy check-in/out made this a destination unto itself! If you’re going to Talkeetna and want a lodging experience that becomes a part of your trip’s story, stay here!

Loved our stay!

We arrived to find everything just how I was told. Very cozy and uniquely built cabin. Was a nice base for visiting Talkeetna and one of Mahay's tours. Would definitely return if in the area!

Out of the wild in Talkeetna

We stayed in the Stone Hut which was very nice for a short stay . Looking at the Mountain House would have been more suited seeing how we had food with us . But would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Talkeetna. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The Layton’s

Shower had black hair on shower wall. Kitchen was worst equipped I have ever stayed in. Picture was not of the house we stayed in. Had to borrow the neighbors grill. Place was overgrown with weeds

You can’t go wrong with this property!

Absolutely perfect. Great views of Denali. The correspondence with the owner was superb. They were easy to work with and responded quickly. They helped us select the property that was best suited for our group. The house is unique and gives you a great Alaskan mountain feel. The decor is fascinating with all types of climbing and outdoor equipment used throughout the house. The kitchen was well stocked and grill was perfect for cooking Moose burgers and steaks. We enjoyed dinner out on the deck with a beautiful view of Denali. The beds were comfy and rooms were nice sized. Good quality towels and linens along with all of the products needed for showers. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice and cozy cabin

This was a nice cozy cabin which can easily accommodate 6 people. The vibe is rustic. Definitely worth a visit.
