About this property

The Marlin House in Talkeetna

A lovely small home in the quaint town of Talkeetna Alaska. I started this project hoping to retire there but as we all know, things do change. I have spent the better part of 4 years building this home and trying to make it the best around. It offers 1 bedroom with a king sized bed, a sofa sleeper for 2, full kitchen, full bath with laundry and free wi-fi. There are plenty of activities in the area including Fishing, Hunting, Sightseeing, Hiking and Biking. Talkeetna's restaurants and pubs are some of the best around including Denali Brewing which is the second largest brewery in Alaska and only a 15 minute walk away from the house.

Very soft and comfortable bed. Had everything for a comfortable stay! Loved the peace and quiet! Kids loved sleeping on the pull out sofa and pull out ottoman so they didn’t have to share. Lovely cabin in the woods! Highly recommend.

Relaxing Stay

Perfect spot to relax for a few days! The house was clean and equipped with everything needed to be comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet but within walking distance to downtown. Appreciated all the extra amenities!! Highly recommend staying here while exploring Talkeetna.

Great cozy cabin in Talkeetna!

During our 9-day stay in Alaska, this was our favorite place we stayed. The cabin was super cozy, quiet, well appointed, with a super king bed. Best of all, a nice living area where we could stretch out and relax. Big TV, dining table and really nice kitchen. Best of all, the pillows were great and not like the flat pancake ones in hotel rooms. We would stay here again for sure!

Fantastic!

What an amazing rental! It was spotless, had every amenity you could imagine, and communication with the host was fantastic. This rental is located minutes from historic downtown Talkeetna. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely cabin in Talkeetna, AK

We enjoyed our stay in the wonderful cabin in Talkeenta. It was very well appointed and comfortable. It was very conveniently located to quaint downtown Talkeetna. The owner, Jared, was quick to answer any questions and was very helpful. If we are ever in Talkeetna, AK we will definitely stay here again!

Jared’s immaculate and comfortable home was the perfect stopping point for us on our way to Denali. His house was easy to find. Didn’t have time to explore Talkeetna but looks fun.

Cabin was clean and good sized. We walked to to town for dinner and live music. Our two teens enjoyed not having to share a bed (pull out couch and hide a bed ottoman in living room). Private location in the woods. Will book again in the future!

Jared’s house was very warm and welcoming. It is very apparent that lots of time and attention to detail has been put into this property. The home was exactly as was described in the posting. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in Talkeetna.

Great stay in Talkeetna

Loved our stay here. Property is clean and has everything you might need. There is a king bed in the bedroom. It also has a queen sized and a twin sized sleeper sofa available for extra guests and plenty of extra linens. Blackout shades in all areas. Cannot think of anything else this place would need. There is even pump hand soaps at all sinks. Great stay!
