This property was just as advertised! We loved the rustic cottage. It was clean and it’s a very safe friendly neighborhood. The lake was gorgeous and we went to Clayton and Alexandria Bay which took no time at all to get too. Jack was the best host. Highly recommend!

Loved the location. Sunsets were remarkable. Beds were comfortable, and the host, Jack, was friendly and accommodating(found out he knows a couple of my brothers). First entering the cottage, very strong odor of air freshener. Even with 3 air conditioners running, smell was over-powering. Most outlets, shelves, nooks and crannies had an air freshener. 1 small shelf had 3. Even 1 on my beds' headboard. Jack stopped by, after we called him as we didn't have a regular coffee maker. He went home and brought us one of his own to use while we were there. When he came back we asked him if we could remove the air fresheners. He grabbed a bag and we ended up pulling 40 - 50 of them.100's of ants in kitchen/dining area dozens of spiders throughoutat least 100 hornets**1 in my bed on night 8bought 3 cans of spray to drench in/out where bees coming in*fumes strong, but nothing compared to the air freshenerswindows open most daysarrived homeall of our clothes stunk of air freshener - even permeated suitcases and clothes we never wore - most were new.soaked w/hot water/vinegar, & washed w/baking soda multiple timessmell still lingers, with a few are hanging outsidewater NOT drinkable - should be signs posted to that effect. Jack gave us some, had to buy multiple gal. & 4 cases & it stunkwater pressure in bathrooms very LOWwe have emphysema & COPD, sure lungs have taken a hit & our poor petso2 machine filters STINK BADa bit over-pricedpartial refund would b nice...

Cute little getaway

We had a nice trip. The weather could have been better but can’t control that. Kitchen was small but we made it work. Very thankful for the little heater in the living room because it was colder and damper than we wanted for Memorial Day weekend. The neighborhood feels so safe and all of the neighbors are so friendly. Beautiful to walk in the morning and evening. The back bedrooms were nice and roomy. Very quick to get to Watertown lots of restaurants. Nice drive to Alexandria bay. We went to see singer castle and boldt castle.

Not a very good stay. The caretaker was very helpful getter my husband in as i didn't see two steps to get in and my litter ramp was too small.However, the couches were old and ratty and need replacing.I couldn't use the coffee pot without constantly resetting the strip fuse and i gave up on trying to toast. Not my best weekend outing
