Our condo is on a pristine stretch of beach just a short walk from the heart of town. It faces east toward beautiful sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean. You can relax or dine on the private, 6th floor balcony and enjoy the sea breeze and soothing sounds of the ocean. Watch the brown pelicans soar by and the dolphins at play. The beachfront pool and cabana/bar are perfect places to swim, sunbathe, grill out, visit with friends, and enjoy supper. The ocean is just through the pool gate. Tennis on our court is a great way to start the day. From the quiet of The Islander you can stroll to town for a coffee, dinner, drinks, groceries, or shopping. Take a 30 minute walk in the other direction to the peaceful inlet and bird sanctuary.
Our 2 bedroom condo, with a queen bedroom that opens to the oceanfront balcony, and another bedroom facing the sound, with 2 twin beds, has been our family's retreat for many years. The kitchen is fully equipped. Wireless internet service is free. Two TVs. The decor is light, airy, and immaculate, with all the amenities you have at home. It's a great place to unwind.
The small town of Wrightsville Beach combines older, Carolina-style cottages with newer ones. There is very little neon, 'honky-tonk' business. Biking, kayaking, and boating are favorite pastimes in addition to the usual beach and sand fun. If you have the occasional rainy day, you will be glad! The city of Wilmington lays right across the drawbridge and is full of fascinating things to do. The Cape Fear River runs through downtown; and the long boardwalk and historic Cotton Exchange offer unique boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. For culture hounds there is the Cameron Art Museum, one of the best in the Southeast. Theater, music venues, art galleries, and historic houses abound. Mayfair shopping center is near Wrightsville. Watersides, putt-putt golf, movies, and even the Cape Fear Serpentarium are other nearby family attractions.

About Bennett Cotten
Our family has been the sole owner of the condo and has enjoyed many summers at Wrightsville. We rent 6-E during the weeks that we can not use it and hope it will be as relaxing for you as it is for us. We live in Raleigh, 2 hours away.

We love the beach. Wrightville has some of the best beaches and cleanest water on the east coast. The Islander is family-oriented, with the friendliest group of owners imaginable. Our building is secure and well-maintained. The grounds are immaculate.

In addition to all the fun beach activities, there are boat tours of the sound, kayaking, fishing trips, sailing, and more. The City of Wilmington is just a few minutes away and is known for its historic district, art galleries, music, theater, tours of the Battleship USS North Carolina and Screen Gem movie studio, riverwalk, restaurants, and lively nightlife. The NC Aquarium and Fort Fisher are less than an hour away and make unique day trips. Whether on the beach or enjoying another activity in the area, you will not forget this vacation.

We SO enjoyed the week we got to spend here! The condo is well equipped and we loved having the storage unit down by the pool to keep our chairs & umbrellas in. Wrightsville beach is my "happy place" and this was the perfect place to call home while we were there. Bennett is a wonderful host and the Islander staff were delightful as well.

Perfect Location, Very Comfortable
We were in town visiting UNCW and stayed in this wonderful condo. Well furnished, comfy beds and in the perfect location, just down from the pier. Highly recommended!
Spring Break Family Trip
Perfect for a family of four. The condo is in a great location, was clean, and manager was very helpful. We love visiting Wrightsville during the non peak seasons and will return, as Bennett was very easy to work with.
Staying @ 6 E is a treat; very comfortable, convienent, clean, and welcoming!! The perfect beach getaway!!! The owner is also a joy & a treat to work with!!!
Comfortable, clean, perfect 2 bedroom 2 bath beachfront condo
Had an amazing stay here in mid-April. The condo was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. Renting was a breeze, well organized and convenient. Spectacular beach views from the balcony and Master bedroom. Super relaxing trip close to everything you need. Great place to enjoy the beach and downtown Wilmington. I will be back.
Wrightsville Beach is a cottage beach with beautiful sand and no honky-tonk businesses. The restaurants are exceptional and the people are friendly. The City of Wilmington, on the edge of the Cape Fear River, is just over the drawbridge and has an outstanding art museum, galleries, a boardwalk along the historic waterfront, more interesting restaurants, wonderful stores, and much to do on the occoasional rainy day.
Additional information about rental rates
Linens: Seaside Rentals (866-615-4636) of Wilmington is recommended for renting your linens and towels. They will bring them to the condo and make up the beds for you. Let them know you are staying at The Islander 6E (Bennett Cotten). Of course, you may bring your own if you wish. Parking: There is one assigned place for parking and you may have a 2nd car in a visitor space on a first-come basis. We provide a parking pass for free street parking in front of the building if you need it.
The Cleaning Fee is $80. The Property Fee for 3 or fewer nights is $45. For 4-6 nights, it is $80. Taxes will be collected on all charges. A check for 1/2 of your Total Due will confirm your reservation. The balance must be received 7 days before your arrival. Please call me to finalize charges. 919-618-0200.
