About this property
Perfect getaway at foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with gorgeous views!
Unwind at this very special oasis, now with a hot tub! Stillhouse Creek Cottage has everything you need and more: large kitchen, dining nook, living room with queen sofa bed, and two bedrooms with queen and king beds. The space is designed for maximum comfort and ease, whether you are staying for three days or three weeks! The outdoor deck and hot tub provide gorgeous, private views of the grape vines, apple and peach trees--just like being in Europe! Lay in the hammock to stare up at the trees or enjoy lounging in the daybed for great bird-watching. See the stars at night from the hot tub. Use the fully appointed kitchen to grill out at night on the gas grill--choose to lay out your spread on a dining table on the deck, or one under the big sycamore tree. Then light a fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows. Or hang out in the comfy living room that gets lots of light and has plenty of seating. Fall asleep in the spacious bedrooms with quality mattresses and bedding and plenty of closet room to unpack your things! There is hi-speed wifi, and a dining table with a view off the kitchen that can serve as your office if you're planning a working holiday. If you're not working, then when you're not just hanging out enjoying the view, head out and experience all that greater Charlottesville has to offer. We are on the wine trail, with many breweries, wineries and cideries in close proximity. Or you can take a 5 mins drive to the historic Batesville Market to watch some of our local music! And, although the space is quite private, I am only a 5 mins walk away and will be happy to answer any questions or address any needs that may arise, to make sure you have the best experience possible!

About the host
Hosted by Jeanne Ward
I've lived internationally for much of my adult life, but have loved settling into this beautiful part of central Virginia.
Why they chose this property
There is so much to offer here: beautiful views, peaceful and secluded surroundings, but very accessible to great food, wineries, breweries, a vibrant music scene, hiking, water sports, and many other things Charlottesville and greater Albemarle country have to offer.
What makes this property unique
This property is quaint and peaceful--with lovely views. It's a wonderful place to relax year-round. In the spring, enjoy the beautiful apple and peach blossoms blanketing the hills behind and beyond the cottage. In the summer, enjoy the lush green, birds, and frogs chirping in the pond. In the fall watch the leaves change across the Blue Ridge mountains. And in the winter (and year round), cozy into the hot tub at night to watch the stars. Every season is perfect here.
