My name is Bert Fornaciari. My wonderful wife Linda and my son Jack, and daughter Carol are delighted to be fortunate enough to let you enjoy Chalone Pinnacles House. We live in Portola Valley, California
Bert purchased this Estate in 2012
Why Bert chose Soledad
This is a one of a kind property. It was built by the CEO of Chalone Wine Group. The first high end winery to go public. The builder of this house built up Chalone Winery then expanded the legacy of great wines with the acquisitions of: Accacia, Edna Valley, Carmenet, and Canoe Ridge. Later he sold Chalone Wine Group to Diageo a public premium beverage company that also owns Tanqueray, Dom Perignon, Cuervo and many other brands
What makes this Estate unique
Gorgeous Views, Amazing Stars, Great Food, Quality wine selection. Super nice staff. This is my third vrbo property and I plan to make it be very high end but at a price many can afford.
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund
Awesome GIrls weekend
Beautiful home, great pool and hot tub with a stunning view. Close to Pinnicals for great hiking and stop at Chalone winery afterward!!
I can't say enough about how gorgeous this property is. The house has 6 bedrooms (3 kings, 1 queen, 1 with two twin beds, 1 with 4 bunk beds) plus a downstairs with 2 pullout couches. The pool and hot tub have gorgeous views and it's just a 5 minute drive to Pinnacles. The owner Bert was wonderful. I can't wait to come back.
Trip to Pinnacles
Our hiking group of 12 had a great time at Chalone. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and wide open vistas after several days of hiking at Pinnacles National Park. Chalone is well equipped with linens and everything you need in the kitchen, including dishes, glassware, utensils, and pans for cooking.
Beautiful property with amazing amenities
Our group had such a great time here. It’s literally a 8-10 min drive from Pinnacles Natl Park and even if you don’t want to hike, you can spend the day in the heated pool and awesome hot tub or play billiards all day.
Fantastic place for families & friends
We had a great time at this house- it really is an amazing house with tremendous views and so many great things to do. For starters, the owners do a great job to make your stay comfortable. They have tons of board games as we had one rainy day, a pool and jacuzzi that we could not pull the kids out of, and a fantastic layout that includes great bedrooms with private decks, a huge kitchen & amazing fireplaces. Outside they had bikes for us to use, a ping ball table and ample space for a few epic bocce ball and croquet games. Bert the owner was very prompt at answering our questions. The downside is that travelling to this house at night is a challenge- very very dark (which makes sense as there is nothing around) and Pinnacles was closed due to the government shutdown. Another tip-do not rely on your cell phone to get you there and to chat on property as signal is spotty at best. Plan on unplugging, you'll be happy you did. We had an amazing weekend and are looking forward to coming back for years to come.
A pampered few days
What a lovely location. We enjoyed hikes in the Pinnacles, lounging in the hot tub, hours of playing pool (badly), great meals ... a real vacation retreat. Thank you Bert for making my husbands 60th birthday memorable.
There is a small driving range (you have to retrieve the golf balls) Private Wine Cellar and wine tasting, 6 mountain bikes.
Mountain Climbing instruction available (extra) It's also fun to play wiffle ball golf around the property. There are 8 to 10 restaurants that can do take out 15 minutes away. You can also play whiffle ball golf on the property. For real golf you might want to play on the way to the property say Friday afternoon in San Jose, Monterey or Salinas. Or maybe play after you check out on Sunday on the way home.
