Located on the lower level of our home in an upscale development, we offer our guests absolute privacy with the assurance that we are closeby should any need or question arise.

There's nothing better than a good night's sleep in the mountains, and you're sure to sleep like a baby on your comfortable king bed with 100% Egyptian cotton bedding, laundered without dyes or perfumes. The bedroom, which can be darkened even in the daytime, has it's own TV, a recliner, and the convenience of a large en suite bathroom with tub/shower, plush luxury bath towels, and hair dryer.

Whether you plan to cook gourmet meals or just make morning coffee during your visit, you'll appreciate the fully equipped kitchen, featuring all brand-new appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, icemaker, and coffee maker. The kitchen's bar area seats 3 and opens into the spacious living room, where the plush sofa offers a great place for a nap or for watching your favorite TV show.

Your private entrance features a 10 x 10 deck with majestic mountainside views and fresh air amidst a rhododendron grove. It's a great place for breakfast before a hike or shopping excursion, and it's the perfect spot for a drink in the afternoon before heading out to dinner at a nearby restaurant, to a concert or the theatre.

A private washer/dryer and iron in the apartment make laundry convenient for those planning longer visits. You'll also appreciate the central AC/Heat, ceramic tile floors, ceiling fans, Wifi (please note that our DSL service -- although the fastest available -- accommodates only limited UP-load speed), and 2 flatscreen satellite TVs offering all major pay/premium stations.

Those wanting a place to get away from their everyday routine will appreciate the fact that cell-phone reception here on the mountain can be limited.

We have always loved the Asheville area because of its natural beauty, its emphasis on the arts, and its concern with the environment. We were fortunate enough to make a permanent move to the area in 2005. We love our home and its location here, and we are happy to be able to share a part of it with those who are looking to enjoy a vacation in the Asheville area.

What makes this apartment unique

The best part of our property is the combination of privacy and an 'away from it all' feeling in a beautiful mountain setting while at the same time having access to all the conveniences we need within a 5-10 minute drive.

Great Place Great Price

The apartment was great. It was very clean. The bed was real comfy. The décor was outstanding. The kitchen has lots of cabinets and is well equipped. The apartment is located about 1/3 up a mountain on paved roads. It is very quiet. However, Ingles, Publix, movie house, etc. is just 10 minutes away. Downtown Asheville is 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic. It was just perfect for a couple's getaway!

We had the greatest time at Tim's hideaway apartment in the mountains near Asheville!

The apartment was cozy and quiet.

Exactly as described on home away. Tucked away in the mountains it was so relaxing and yet so close to downtown Asheville. We had a great visit, and Tim was so helpful in giving us directions and places to go eat .would consider staying again for our next trip to Asheville.

Wonderful Weekend in Asheville!!

We absolutely loved our stay in Asheville...we only wish it could have been longer! The city is amazing...so much to see and do and the atmosphere is so upbeat! We saw friendly faces everywhere we went. The Trolley Tour was a perfect way to discover the town and who doesn't wouldn't love a visit to Biltmore..it's on so many people's "bucket list."

The apartment was perfect for us. It worked out great since we knew we'd just be staying in the few evenings we were in town (darn Buddy the constant travel companion!) and your place was so much more comfortable than booking a hotel room. We had all the comforts of home (thanks for the treats & wine but I brought along plenty PLUS paper products!!) and felt so cozy. The bed was very comfortable...we loved the pillows! We even took a picture of the tag in hopes the brand was listed! All the extra touches you gave the apartment (which was so nicely decorated!!) were so thoughtful and kind....we really appreciated everything you did to make it such a great getaway spot! And once we discovered Hendersonville Road and all the restaurants/ etc. there...we didn't feel as remote as we did when we first arrived. The apartment really is close to so much and you just wouldn't realize that at first.

I'll definitely hope on VRBO to offer a glowing review...we are still on catch up mode having to go back to work today...but I wanted to write first chance I got to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in the apartment.....we miss it already!!

Great Asheville stay!!

Wow . . .Where do I start? Probably the best deal for your money in the Asheville area. The location is great, its 10-15 minutes from everything we wanted to see in Asheville. Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville, great dinning . .all 15 minutes or less. We drove the less than 30 minutes to do a short hike at Craggy Gardens, then discovered Mount Mitchell was only another 15 minutes past that. So we ended up doing 2 relatively short but beautiful hikes in half a day! The apartment is great . . . SUPER clean and the perfect size for 2 people. I never thought I would say a place is TOO quiet, but the 1st night we actually had trouble sleeping because the silence was unsettling, but we fixed that by turning on a ceiling fan. The host I dealt with, Tim, is very friendly and laid back, and was easy to communicate with. We never met, even though they live right upstairs, but that's fine with me, it felt totally private! We were left some snacks and a bottle of wine that we were happy to utilize on our day trips (the snacks that is), and we really appreciated that. There is also good selection of books if you want to spend a day relaxing in the apartment. Great experience all around and I would highly recommend!

Wonderful!

Just returned from a road trip from Minnesota to Asheville. Stayed in 10 different places, 9 hotels - Hampton Inns, Comfort Suites, etc. - and one VRBO - here. This was by far our favorite place. It was clean, quiet and private. Beautiful kitchen area, and very comfortable bed. We are not the B&B type as we like our privacy. Tim met us when we arrived, gave us some tips on the area and that was the last we saw or heard from him. Now we wonder why we would ever stay in a hotel again. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
