About this property

Glamping dome w/hot tub & fire pit

Summary:

Experience a cozy mountain dome retreat where starry skies, a private hot tub, and modern comforts blend with nature.

- Sleeps 2 | 1 bedroom | 1 bed | 1 bath

- Private hot tub under the stars

- King bed, open single‑level layout with climate control

- Kitchen & bathroom essentials, TV, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth sound

- Patio with fire pit & BBQ grill, mountain views

- Secluded dome on Cooper Mountain, near private nature trails

The Space:

The air is fresh with the scent of pine as the sun lifts over the wooded hillside, and a gentle breeze carries the promise of new growth. You step onto the deck and feel the cool, crisp morning while the sky stretches wide above the mountains. Inside the dome, soft light filters through the dome’s panels, highlighting the king‑size bed and the warm, inviting interior. A quiet moment on the patio, with the fire pit glowing, sets the tone for a peaceful retreat.

Sleeping arrangements

The dome sleeps two guests in a spacious king bed set within an open, single‑level layout. A full bathroom provides a private space to refresh after a day of exploring. Climate control keeps the interior comfortable as temperatures shift throughout the day.

Outdoor living

A private deck extends from the dome, offering sweeping mountain views and a spot to breathe in the spring air. The fire pit invites cozy evenings, while the BBQ grill is ready for simple meals outdoors. Your own hot tub sits on the patio, perfect for soaking under a sky dotted with stars once night falls. The surrounding woods are part of a private nature preserve with trails that wind through the landscape, giving you easy access to gentle hikes and quiet spots for birdwatching.

Kitchen & dining

A compact kitchen and dining area let you prepare breakfast, snacks, or a warm dinner without leaving the dome. Basic cookware and utensils are provided, and a small table offers a comfortable place to enjoy your meals while watching the forest outside.

Entertainment & connectivity

A flat‑screen TV and Bluetooth sound system give you options for relaxed evenings, whether you’re streaming a favorite show or playing soft music. Wifi is available throughout the dome; speeds may vary due to the remote mountain setting, so you might want to download any essential content ahead of time.

Setting & surroundings

Stargazer is nestled on Cooper Mountain, a secluded retreat with two neighboring domes—one about 60 feet away and another over 120 feet distant. While you may glimpse other guests strolling nearby, each dome maintains its own outdoor space for privacy. The property’s natural setting means occasional insects, especially crickets in early spring, may drift inside, adding to the authentic mountain experience.

Good to know

The dome is not sealed like a conventional home, so small bugs may appear, particularly during seasonal changes. Outdoor areas are swept before each arrival, but leaves, pollen, or natural debris can still be present. Embrace the quiet, scenic environment and let the mountain’s rhythm guide your stay.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

Why they chose this property

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Stargazer in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
