Why Calvin chose New Orleans

If you want a local experience then this place is for you. We are licensed with the City of New Orleans to legally operate as a short-term-rental property. Owner is a member of Alliance for Neighborhood Prosperity, a local STR advocacy group with direct links with specialized local tours of New Orleans and its environs. The property is located along the Magazine Street commercial corridor and also within the historic Lower Garden District neighborhood. The building has been preserved and tastefully renovated by the current owner. This building was designed by the great Henry Howard, a 19th century architect responsible for many of the great mansions found in the Garden District. The property maintains much of its original character and has its own private entrance. The interior is extremely comfortable.

This property is in the heart of the lower garden district neighborhood and along the Magazine Street corridor. Visitors can truly experience a local lifestyle in an historic New Orleans neighborhood while enjoying the comforts of a well renovated 19th century building. What a lovely ,well-appointed, clean hip place to stay.

Totally architect renovated wood floor large space inches from the entertaining and interesting Magazine Street. The outside large deck overlooks a green and is. Great place for hanging out.

All in all, highly recommended .

The owner was pleasant and even inquired about our enjoyment during the weekend.

Ideal Magazine St Stay

Wonderful condo with tall ceilings and fans, books about New Orleans, ability to play your iphone through the speaker system, fantastic patio with a view, comfortable beds, clean bathroom, and such lovely owners. They had great suggestions, made everything so easy. Magazine St within steps, short walk to street car, bus directly out front, no need for a rental car. Absolutely recommend for short or long stays.

Owner was a delight to communicate with, he was extremely prompt and courteous. The apartment is spacious and updated nicely. The neighborhood is fantastic - very charming. Great restaurants and bars nearby, bike shop right on the corner to rent bikes. You can easily bike to the French Quarter.

Fantastic Garden District apartment

The apartment is located at the lower end of Magazine street in the Garden district. It is superb, very comfortable. It provides instant access to the Garden district area. Within 200 feet there are various neighborhood restaurants and shops. It's only 6 - 7 blocks up magazine street to get to the heart of the Garden district and more excellent restaurants and shops, though we don't really shop. There's even a bicycle shop 2 blocks away in case you prefer that type of travel. It's extremely convenient to do your own Garden district walking tour. My family, wife, and two girls ages 9 and 14, were able to get to the zoo and the aquarium quite easily, one by trolley and one by our car. We rarely used the car. The trolley to the French Quarter is quite easy, though a cab is probably better if in a hurry. The apartment is perfect for establishing a home base and then venturing into the city for whatever it is you want. Sleep wise, the queen size bed is real comfortable and the heavy pull out doors form a wall between you and the sleeper sofas. Each kid had one to themselves. It is quiet between 10 pm - 7 am or so. Shower works great, never ran out of hot water. The best part of this rental might very well be the owner. He is courteous, prompt, and a fountain of good information. He knows New Orleans inside and out and his tips and recommendations are precise, accurate, and extremely helpful. He is so polite and generous with his assistance that it feels like you're doing business with a friend. We will certainly stay here again next time we visit.

Wonderful location

This is a great vacation rental. The owner was in contact making sure we were comfortable, and if we needed anything. There was not street parking available, but the owner allowed us to park in the off street area with no problem.

Everything exceeded my expectations

You can't beat the location or the balcony. Everything about the place was interesting and original and if it's not booked solid I'll gladly try again to get it for some of the parades next year.
