The patio screen's kept falling out every time we went on the patio’s. Our upstairs balcony that overlooks the lake had wood panels that were unhinged and it was unsafe to go on the patio.

The location was great. Steps from the lake. Very easy to check in and out. Rented golf carts ahead of time for our entire stay and they made the process very easy. The kitchen was definitely lacking some things….kitchen towels/dish towels/rags. There were zero. A casserole dish. And luckily we only had 8 people go because they only had 8 forks. And be aware that there is only seating for 5 in the living area. It was very uncomfortable sitting on the floor or the bar stools for hours in the evening.

Great, quiet getaway - awesome views

Lovely condo with great views. Very quiet area. The place was clean, I noticed little areas that needed attention, but no big deal. The cookware was a bit lacking (no muffin tins, mixing bowls, etc), but we got by fine and the staff was helpful in bringing over a working can opener pretty quickly. Loved carting around the island on a golf cart, and the kids loved seeing the planes take off from the airstrip next door. Overall a great, relaxing experience.

Reviewer Comments: Looked great in the pictures, but the condo was void of basics. Light bulbs out everywhere. All 4 clocks not working. No blankets. Too few cups, glasses etc. Upstairs tub and one sink clogged. No mirrors or chest of drawers in bedroom. Pretty pathetic...and so many rules but none enforced.

Family at the bay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the condo. Great porch on the lake with a huge table. Plenty of room for all the kids to be comfy and have their space. Cooked most meals in and made use of the grill. Nice pool area with lots of loungers. Had a great time exploring the island on the golf carts. Limited equipment in the kitchen. Noone needs to bring any more coffee filters :). Really needed more bath towels. The downstairs suite only had 2 bath and 2 washcloths. No hand towels and no bath mat for slippery wet feet. Shower base was also slippery. We all loved staying here and will he back again. Every single employee was friendly and got things done. We tripped a breaker and a man came and took care of it within minutes of calling. Every phone call was professional and thorough. Unbelievable customer service. Thanks everyone!

Very nice property - few minor changes would make it 5 star

Property is exactly as listed and excellent communications with manager when I needed to call. Spacious condo, comfortable beds, incredible view, nice pool (uncrowded during mid-week we were there). The 4 improvements that would make it 5 star: 1) management uses a mixture of confusing and contradictory emails and documents - it's meant to cover VRBO and other booking methods for both the main condo building and the secondary (non-waterview) building. But there are different specifics for different rental methods and buildings and sometimes the documents are just plain wrong - i.e. email said we'd need to bring our own linens, so we packed along 7 sets of linens when they were actually provided. Please make specific booking documents for each booking method and each building. 2) Stock the kitchen essentials better (spoons bigger than a tablespoon, measuring utensils, colander, blender) 3) Mop the floors – deep clean carpets- overall cleanliness is good, but walk barefoot for 30 seconds and look at the bottom of your feet! 4) Key code security - they emailed the code over 6 weeks in advance - implying they don't change codes at all? Code should be changed between every guest and sent out no earlier than the day of check in. The island is great – expensive as expected because of the captive audience, but very nice. (as of 7/22 the only public sand beach on the island is completely closed – not the property owner’s issue – but messed up one of our plans)

Short Stay at the Bay

I was extremely happy with this rental. It is so spacious and nicely decorated. The location is great, close to Miller Ferry and right on the lake. The view from our lakefront balcony was beautiful! Access to anywhere on the island was easy and affordable via Island Club Taxi…we never waited more than a few minutes to be picked up from anywhere! I highly recommend this property as I can’t think of one single complaint!

Great spot!

We were very happy with this condo and thought it was even nicer than the pictures showed. It was def very bustling for the weekend, so I'd say not a spot for relaxing. We had a group of 9 so we were bustling also. Despite the crowd, it was still pretty quiet inside the condo. Only minor issue was that amenities were a little lacking. No extra towels, blankets, pillows, anything. With a place that sleeps 12, one hand towel per bathroom is a little light and not having an extra bed blanket is rough when trying to appease everyone on temps. No dish towels for the kitchen, we had to steal a hand towel from the bathroom. And not even hand soap or tissues in every bathroom, so fortunately we had brought some. Otherwise, we loved it and would def stay again!
