Very peaceful, calming house is beautiful and perfect for what we needed it for, Was a very satisfied stay and Annie is very friendly very homey feeling our boys got to go fishing in the pond by the house on their day off they loved it would definitely book here again.

Peaceful country stay

Stayed for a weekend getaway just to decompress. This house is beautiful and cozy. Large enough to fit a family, the kitchen was great to cook in and the three season room warm enough even on a chilly winter day with the sun coming in through the windows. Exactly what we were looking for!

Perfect getaway off the field

We stayed during the final week of the All Star Village season. The property was beautiful, quiet, and remote enough to relax without being too far from the facility. Wonderful!

Cooperstown Stay

We were here for the week while my son was playing in Cooperstown. I really enjoyed check-in. There was music playing & a lot of what we needed (paper towels, toilet paper, etc) was provided. Annie was very kind & helpful.

Just what the doctor ordered!

Annie’s Retreat was a great choice for my family and another family to stay in while we played in Cooperstown All-Star Village Baseball Tournament!! It was minutes from the field and everything was great! The yard was amazing for the siblings to play and keep busy while the boys stayed and played at the Tournament. This was a great house for the Coach’s families to share for the week, very spacious and feeling like home instead of staying at a hotel! Thank you Annie, the place was great!!

Annie’s Retreat proved to be a very good choice for our second trip to the Cooperstown All Star Village. For our previous trip we needed it to be pet friendly so this location wasn’t considered. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Location to the fields and cleanliness of the house were excellent. Everything we could need was provided. The decor is very cozy and we felt quite at home. Our player grandson enjoyed fishing during a short stop here between games one day with fishing poles provided by the owner. We would definitely recommend families consider this property for their stay during games at the All Star Village.

A Good Place to Get Away

Nice clean house, air conditioning and a bathroom on each floor. The 3 bedrooms were a bit on the small side but did have closets to store clothes and bags.About 20 minutes from Oneonta, although it feels like you've left civilization far behind. WiFi is available but cell service is spotty.Overall we were very pleased with the house!

Regarding the house phone, we found out that the jack had been unplugged by another guest for computer usage. I called my service company, and we figured out it had been put back in the wrong connection. We hope to host you in the future."

Our third stay with this owner - very positive experience

We stayed three nights to attend our senior’s college graduation ceremony. This is our third stay at this owner’s properties so we chose it on purpose, expecting and receiving a pleasurable stay. The property is charming and the owner very responsive.

A fairytale cabin in the woods

The property is lovely! We enjoyed the birds in the morning and the deer wandering through the snow. It’s a delightful drive to get there. It was basically exactly the cozy cabin fairytale I wanted!

A Great Cooperstown Experience

In town for the tournament and enjoyed every bit of our stay. The property is beautiful and was used extensively for wiffle ball games during our stay. Have another kiddo coming back in a few years and would totally stay here again!

Annie’s Retreat is so, so sweet!

Annie’s Retreat is a slice of country heaven. The converted farm house is well kept and cozy, featuring three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plenty of voice space and a rustic porch overlooking a wooded field and steps from a steam and pond. It is 35 minutes from the Baseball Hall of Fame, but truly if you are looking for a getaway, there is no reason to leave the property.

A beautiful Christmas getaway

We had such a lovely time staying at Annie's Retreat. We wanted to find a place that was comfortable and somewhat secluded, because we knew we'd be staying in and right around the house for the bulk of our visit, given the pandemic. When we drove up, we were so happy to see that the house was exactly what we were expecting. It was very cozy inside with plenty of places to sit and tables to eat at. We immediately felt right at home and had a great time enjoying our Christmas. The woods are right next to the house, and you can walk in via a path from the driveway. There is a picturesque pond with a picnic table just inside the woods, and it was a great place to walk around. The only thing we were surprised by was the tap water. The house uses well water, and it tastes heavily of salt/minerals. We ended up going to the grocery store in nearby Oneonta to pick up jugs of water for drinking and brushing our teeth for the duration of our stay. I wish we had known in advance because we were hoping not to leave the property during our stay, but it ended up working out fine. We absolutely loved our visit, and if you're looking for some calm and comfort, I can't recommend this place enough (just bring your own water!).

Rest & Relaxation at Annie's Retreat

If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the spot...well off the main road, a nice lawn leading to a beautiful patch of woods with an amazing variety of trees and the occasional deer, a pond with benches around it, a front porch that attracts hummingbirds and songbirds, a firepit, gas grill and inside all the amenities we needed. We hope to come back!

A week in the country

We had a great time watching the birds and fishing in the pond. We visited Cooperstown and hung out by the fire. The rooms were all spacious and the kitchen had the basics that we needed. We mostly relied on using the gas grill. Thanks and we will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in the area.

Bird lovers' treat

Easy to get to, this property is right off the main road. The house has a welcoming porch adorned with bird feeders attracting a variety of birds. A wide expanse of lawn is edged by a fire pit and a lively stream; a small footbridge takes you up to the small, beaver-inhabited pond and vibrant with dragon flies, frogs and fish. The house is comfortable and the pubic spaces are generous in size. The new range was a welcome addition. Bring your own drinking water. Our experience was unique and memorable.

Annie’s Retreat perfect for All Star Village Baseball tournament

Annie’s Retreat was a short 9 minute drive from the All Star Village which made getting to and from baseball games very easy! The property was neat and clean. Having a bedroom and bathroom on the main level was so helpful when my son sprained his ankle. We loved how homey the house was and enjoyed playing games on the large dining room table. Internet was fine, however Verizon cell service was not available at the house, and in many spots throughout the greater Cooperstown area. A land line is available at the house and I made sure coaches communicated via email as well as text. Overall, it was a non-issue.
