About the host
Hosted by Crystal Green
I grew up hiking the Sonoran desert in Tucson, AZ, and also lived in Boston, Colorado Springs, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Oxford, England before moving to our now home in Utah. I learned to love snow sports when I started dating my husband, Brandon. We enjoy the Utah outdoors year-round with our three young children.
Why they chose this property
My husband's grandpa taught him to ski at Brighton so the location holds a special nostalgia for him among the ski resort areas. I was drawn to the area because of the proximity to the lake (visible from our back window) and the many miles of hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing around. We were excited to find a lot where we could custom build a home that is both spacious and cozy, classic and modern.
What makes this property unique
We built the interior to be understated and elegant and to match the colors and themes of the Brighton wilderness. You'll notice stone colors that match the stone colors in the surrounding areas and the use of muted green hues to reflect the trees outside.
The area is designed for entertaining with a television and large island in the kitchen for casual meals and large dining table for events. Our focus was to capture the natural beauty of the property with majestic views of Mt. Millicent.
