Arnold's River Retreat is a beautiful two-story home that sits on the river. This large home has six bedrooms and five bathrooms that will give many in your party the space they desire! Upon entry of this home, you will see the living room to the right, featuring new living room furniture and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player where you can choose to watch cable or enjoy watching movies brought from home. One of the sofas in the living room is a sleeper sofa and can be used as a queen bed for additional sleeping. Sitting right off of the living room, you will notice a small sunroom -- pull back the shades to enjoy the sunlight on a cold day or to enjoy reading! To the opposite side of the living room, there is a door leading to the accessible garage -- inside you will find the perfect place for the young ones to play. Arnold's provides an Air Hockey and a Ping-Pong table for guests' enjoyment! Just past those rooms, you will come to find the kitchen and dining area. Arnold's River Retreat features a large kitchen with plenty of counter space for as many cooks in the kitchen as you want! The dining room table is located off to the side of the kitchen and has additional seating at the kitchen bar. In the yard, you will find two picnic tables and a gas BBQ grill for cooking out! Let's not forget the fire pit for everyone to enjoy the fire while listening to the river that is just a gate away. After leaving the kitchen, you will find a separate laundry room with a washer/dryer for guests to use during their stay. At Arnold's River Retreat guests are given free laundry detergent courtesy of Red River Real Estate. The first main level bedroom has a king bed for guests' comfort, with access to the hallway ¾ bathroom. The next room over also includes another king bed with a twin bed off to the side. This spacious second bedroom has a small flat-screen TV, as well as access to its own private full bathroom. Both of these main level bedrooms are very spacious with large closets for storage. The second level is where you will find the other four large bedrooms. To the very far right you will find another king bed with a twin bed off to the side. This bedroom has a TV, and access to its own private bathroom and a private balcony. The next room has a king bed and access to a full bathroom. The third upstairs bedroom you will find a queen bed that has a large closet and access to the hallway full bathroom. The last room upstairs has several sleeping arrangements and has access to the hallway full bathroom. There is a queen bed to the left of the room and to the right you will find two Queen futons that each can be made to sleep, additional people. This room also has a TV perfect for setting-up game consoles! Arnold's River Retreat is a great home for large parties and is loved by many who stay here. You cannot beat the location on the river, not to mention the ability to sleep up to 20 people comfortably!

We have stayed in many houses in Red River and this one rates among the best. The kitchen had plenty of high quality cooking pans, utensils, forks and knives. The beds are big and comfortable. Lots of bedding, fans and pillows. This house has everything you need for the 13 people it will sleep.

Perfect for large group

Arnold’s river retreat is perfect for a large group. We had 6 adults and 5 kiddos ranging from 4-14. With 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms each person was able to enjoy privacy as needed. Everything was clean and location is handy to ski area and restaurants. A wonderful getaway for our family of 11.

The house is older and shows signs of aging. The kitchen was lacking in a few essential items like forks. The bedrooms were arranged in an interesting way…you had to go through a bedroom to get to another bedroom in 3 different places. Had a great time in Red River. Management company very helpful and friendly. Home needs a LOT of work. Back porch has some need to make it more safe. Large lip at back as you head down steps. Rail would help. Crumbs on living room floor by sofa as we arrived. Will say easy access to lock and unlock.

Would not stay here again

I stayed at this property with my family for our yearly ski trip. There were 12 of us in total. There were a couple problems that were never resolved with the property during our stay. 1) We never had WiFi internet despite contacting the management company the morning after we checked in to let them know. 2) The oven didn’t work. Also contacted management company about this but the appliance person doesn’t come out until the end of the month. Of course we meal planned around having an oven available. 3) This is a fairly large property with the ability to sleep up to 15 I think. There was not nearly enough silverware to be able to host what was advertised. The skylight over the stairs leaked. Despite the bathrooms and kitchen counter and floors being clean, there were other cleanliness issues like A LOT of dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen, dirty ceiling fans, etc. There was no obvious working thermostat in this residence and way to control the temperature. This property needs a major overhaul especially for the price. The beds were not comfortable. I’ve stayed at other properties that were managed by this company and never had an issue. I feel like the management company needs to do a walk through and really check out this property rather than shuffling renters through the revolving door.

Great property

This was a great house for a large number of people. Our only complaint would be the blinds really need to be replaced. It doesn’t seem like a big deal but street lights make it difficult to sleep.

Would not stay there again.

Blinds were torn up, windows had no screens, windows hard to open, mice were in the house and garage, mice droppings on cookware, mattresses worn out, the whole house needed a good cleaning, like staying in a 30 year old house with no updates or cleaning. VRBO listing did not reflect that you had to walk thru bedrooms to get to other bedrooms. Jessica with Red River Realty has no customer service skills. Don't waste your money.

The property was big enough for our group and worked okay but I would probably not stay here again. The beds were not the best, lots of things are old & warn out, and the 4 main bedrooms are adjoining so that you have to walk through each others rooms to get out to the main area. It did not say anything about this in the reviews & was a little strange for our 4 family group.. the WiFi on the property did not work which the rental agency said was listed on the info for the house. This may be true but it was still an inconvenience.. for the price I've stayed in way better properties in Red River..

Great place, but the blinds need to be repaired and or replaced. One bedroom window had nothing on it, so the morning sun was very bright. Had to put blankets to cover the light. Ice maker did not work. But otherwise we were very satisfied with the property.

Perfect for what we needed!

This place was perfect for what we needed. We had 19 people ranging in age from 3 thru 60+ coming together to spend Thanksgiving together. We read the reviews ahead of time and came prepared with plastic/paper ware as well as a few extra towels. There was a small grocery store in town that met whatever need we did not come prepared for (laundry detergent, perishable grocery items). We slept comfortably and pretty much all had easy, convenient access to a bathroom. The house is very close to town and the slopes. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it was clean (not immaculate - the cabinets could use wiping down and it was dusty). We didn't have any issues with things not working.

Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen were basically clean. Windows very dirty. Dusty throughout. Coffee pot very crudy throughout - given new one. Short on silverware - only 4 teaspoons, 13 forks, for 20. Ice maker did not work. Two ceiling fans not working. Garage door opener totally broke on one side. Trash in garage dangerous for young children. Could not fish from backyard as no grass and you fell in the stream if you went thru the gate on fence. Not enough towel sets for our group. Staff cooperative and then very uncooperative.
