A petite cabin with ladder loft. Perfect for skiers or a young couple/small family looking for a little time away. There is a washer/dryer, kitchen with oven, dining table and bathroom downstairs. Climbing the ladder going up to the loft, is a king size bed and 50 inch Roku tv. Feel free to adjust the dining table and seats to accommodate your needs, please be mindful of damage and return to the original arrangement. Though everything is small scale, this cabin is quite cozy and is a great place to stay if you’re comfortable climbing a ladder. We have high speed WiFi and natural gas heating.
The property is 5 acres on an air strip with four other cabins. There is a public fire pit with plenty of seating and BBQ pit with benches, which you’re free to use. We also have berry plants and fresh veggies in the garden during the summer to snack on and use for meals and drinks. In the winter it’s highly likely to experience the northern lights on the property! which are wonderful to view from the airstrip that is accessible from the property or a 10 minute drive to Hatcher pass.

Great location! Very quiet and well maintained. Can't wait to come back during the summer sometime. I will definitely be staying here again! Thank you so much for everything :)

Woah thank you so much for your review, we'd love to host you again! :)
Relatively private cabin with beautiful countryside. Strong WiFi, hot water, good kitchen appliances and necessities. Plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking. The loft was surprisingly roomy, and the additional handles around the ladder made ascending and descending very easy, even though I had dislocated my knee a few days before my arrival. The washer-dryer combo is a pleasant bonus, and a much desired appliance after sweaty hikes. We had a great time here on our Honeymoon!
We loved the little cabin. We were sad when we had to leave. Location was great for the things we planned to do. The bed was so comfortable we even asked about it so we could order one for each of our homes when we got back. Andrew and April responsed very quickly to any messages we sent. Only a couple things for people who stay as long as we did, which was 13 days. One something in the shower to have the soaps and things off the floor would be wonderful, maybe a few more hooks to hang things. I hope the GPS will get updated and able to find the location better. We truly loved the cabin and WHEN we come back we will stay again. We wished we would have booked the cabin for our whole stay. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Super cute little cabin! Clean space. Simple amenities were provided and appreciated. Further from town than I realized but not a bad thing as it was super quiet and peaceful at night!

About the host
Hosted by Andrew Kurka
I won a gold and silver medal at the 2018 winter games in Pyongchang South Korea. Then I used that income to buy this 5 acres on an airstrip and started my dream journey of building a BnB and lodge. After living in Alaska my entire life, I love to guide the great outdoors. Hunt fish and fly!
Why they chose this property
It used to be very rural and quiet. Though it’s gradually growing into a nice neighborhood surrounded by brand new homes and a gated community. About 10 minutes from Hatcher pass, 15 from wasilla and 15 from palmer. It’s a great centralized location.
What makes this property unique
We have a nice little airstrip which you can see bush planes land and take off from. There’s a fire pit and a BBQ pit as well as fresh garden veggies and farm eggs in the summer.
