The host was so kind and immediate answers to questions. So much was included in the rental that it helped that we didn’t have to bring so much with us. We were impressed with how well the space was utilized in the cabin with the bedrooms and then multiple group hang out spots - it was perfect for our group!The only negative was the bad ice that made the driveway hard for our vehicles to get up but that is outside of the owner’s control. Just know that AWD is really needed if any snow or ice on the ground.

Great for multiple families

Our group of 3 families with kids stayed here and it was the perfect place for the adults to relax while the kids enjoyed all the cabin fun - a movie room, a game room and lots of space outside to run and play. The house had everything we needed and more. We loved that there are three levels in the house so the group could separate as needed. We never felt cramped and had plenty of room. I’ve never been to a vacation so well stocked as this one! We loved our stay, thank you!

Great host!

Zarina is an excellent host. She asked why we were visiting and what we planned, and she provided extra cooking appliances I asked about right away even though I just planned to pack my own. Also she decorated the cabin for Christmas for us. It was a wonderful surprise. There was plenty of space and extra toiletries in case you forgot your own. We had a great stay! Thank you Zarina! Great Tidings for 2025!

Wonderful Experience

This was the *best* experience we've had using Vrbo or unnamed competitor. The cabin was surprisingly spacious, with quality decor/furniture/wifi/cleanliness/ample parking, while it's not that remote, you still have some privacy from the neighbors. What really set this place apart was the little things that indicated strong customer focus and attention to detail on the part of the management - ample firewood, the kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms had complimentary disposable razors/toothbrushes/etc. Check out process was a breeze. I'd definitely come back here the next time I'm in the area. The only downside is that it's on the side of a hill, so there's not much room for backyard activities.

The Bear Cabin

The cabin is very well provisioned. The upstairs adult game room also had some toys (a big toy dump truck and a great Lincoln Logs set) which the pre-school set loved. The room layout was not as the owner described it before we committed to this place and that was a problem. Shortly after check-in the owner let us know as a breezy side note that the previous tenants had "seen some cockroaches." We had already discovered the cockroaches--one cabinet was alive with them. The owner didn't act like that was serious. I think it is. (Yesterday we discovered that at least one had traveled home with us, yuck.) We soon discovered that even though the refrigerator was reporting great numbers for cooling and freezing the refrigerator was not cool and the freezer didn't freeze things. (On day two the ice cream was still mush.) The ice maker didn't produce ice either. The assortment of window AC units worked in some rooms, but not all and the house was often uncomfortable. Some rooms had no AC and they were hot. All napping babies woke up bathed in sweat. The dishwasher sometimes didn't release the cleaning tab so it had to be run twice. The listed playground doesn't exist and the terrain is so steep that I don't think there could be one. The visit was to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday and he said he enjoyed the whole long weekend so our main goal was met.

We’re also glad to hear your husband enjoyed his milestone birthday weekend. We take all guest concerns seriously. Since your stay, we have addressed the items you mentioned: the home has undergone professional pest treatment, the refrigerator has been replaced by a brand new one, and the dishwasher and window AC units were inspected and repaired or replaced where needed. We’ve also updated our listing description to be extra clear about room layout and cooling setup, as mountain cabins can differ from traditional homes. Regarding the outdoor area, the property is located on a wooded, sloped mountainside, which is clearly shown in the listing photos and description and we do not advertise having a playground; however, we appreciate the feedback and have clarified this further to avoid confusion. The comfort of our guests is extremely important to us, and we’re proud that our long history of phenomenal reviews reflects the care we put into maintaining the cabin and responding quickly when issues arise. We appreciate the opportunity to improve and wish you and your family all the best.
