Spring Break

Overall we had a great stay! We were very comfortable- plenty of space for the 5 of us and would still be very comfortable with 8 (sharing king size beds). Our host Doris was amazing! We found we were missing a few items and sent her a list just to let her know; she responded immediately and even dropped off all the items we needed a few hours later. The house has all new furniture and TV’s in every room - made for happy teens! We had a couple maintenance issues with TP holder and towel rack not installed correctly; windows and sliding doors are older and not easy to to open and close - maybe a little wd40 would help. Despite not having landscaping (I imagine this is due to recent hurricanes) it’s a nice big lot at the end of the canal which is beautiful for sunset. Doris said they're installing a pool which will be a great addition!! The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. We did not rent a car - it’s faster to walk and take trolleys due to spring break traffic. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the beach and 30 minutes into the village. Next time we would probably rent bikes. Overall we really enjoyed the house and would come back!

I often go for a morning walk to Siesta and I am always grateful to live in this beautiful city.
I studied hospitality and I love (almost) every part of it! I work with wonderful people, cleaners who love cleanliness, handymen who come as soon as I call them if something needs to be fixed.
