Black Bear Lodge is amazing and the host is just as amazing! I highly recommend this place to stay if in the area if Caroga Lake. Clean and smells great. Recently renovated and a great place to make memories.

The location was quiet just what an Adirondacks cottage should be. We loved that our fur babies were able to stay with us. The hosts even provided a dog bed, dishes, leads and balls for the dogs. Nice touch!

Everything was new and clean. Conveniently located in / near Caroga Town. Easy to get in and out of the cabin. Appreciated the extra set of instructions / cabin information to check throughout out, and selection of board games.

Beautiful, clean home

Myself, husband, adult son and his girlfriend just enjoyed a long weekend at this home. Everything was like new and the home was super clean. The screened in porch was well utilized and a great place for morning coffee.

Beautiful location

I booked this cabin fri-Sun as a meet up with some friends I don’t get to see much. Unfortunately I had mechanical problems on the way and didn’t arrive until 5am sat morning. The beds are nice and the mini splits kept it comfy inside. Saturday afternoon we walked around the neighborhood and Saturday evening we hiked up to Kane firetower

Overall the place was decent, the main point being that this place should have 4 people max. There are 6 sleeping spaces technically, however every other place in the house is set up for 4. The main bed was so hard I ended up sleeping on a fold out chair the entire trip, but that's a personal preference. The kitchen was not well stocked for cooking meals, it seems this place is catered more to being away for the day and just sleeping there. Before booking the place we made sure there was a dock and room for a boat, however there was no room for the truck and trailer both at the camp. We luckily have family close and had to leave it with them. Also, the dock situation with the neighbors needs to be addressed, we were told to dock anywhere possible as there were dock hogs and then my husband was approached by another neighbor saying he couldn't dock where he was as it was their specific spot. Luckily we told them we would be leaving in 2 days and had nowhere else to dock, so they let it slide. It is good if you aren't staying long and like I said, no more than 4 people. But for 6 people and 9 days we had quite a hard time. There also needs to be a shoe rack at the door, its a shoe free place, and shoes just end up a mess all around the door.
