Seemed like it hadn’t been rented in some time…
Communication with the owner was very challenging. Emails disappeared (apparently deleted by a child?), redundant questions and conflicting information came through various emails.
The host aoffered supplemental services for us (grocery shopping in advance, booking of massages, transport, etc) and then got frustrated bc she had to coordinate those things.
The local house manager was supposed to meet us upon arrival, but showed up late and then rushed through a cursory orientation, seemingly before heading to her next appt. They had promised maintenance would come by to change a flickering bulb, but that never happened.
All the bedrooms had exterior patio doors that didn’t lock, and one of the internal doors was missing a lock, and had paper towel stuffed into the hole.
Dishes and glassware were dusty and dirty, and the house smelled like it had been closed up for a number of months.
The community is lovely and the gate staff made us feel very secure, which was the only reason we were comfortable sleeping in unlocked rooms.
The pool and backyard were great for hanging out and entertaining.
