Bienvenue au Black Bear Lodge, une grande maison familiale sur le magnifique lac Mascoma! Notre maison comprend le meilleur de l'été et de l'hiver car nous sommes situés sur l'eau et à quelques minutes de Whaleback Mountain, du mont Sunapee et à une heure de la station de ski de Killington. Venez faire des souvenirs inoubliables dans cette belle maison; Nous serions ravis de vous avoir!

Pour tous les locataires estivaux, cette maison est située directement sur le lac Mascoma et nous fournissons des kayaks et des pédalos pour que les clients puissent en profiter tout l'été!

Nous avons deux espaces de vie dont vous pouvez profiter, un au premier étage avec un téléviseur de 60 "et un autre au sous-sol avec un téléviseur de 70". Avec Internet et le cùble dans les deux chambres, vous pouvez toujours rester connecté. Une table de ping-pong est également à votre disposition!

This is a beautiful spot right on the shore of Lake Mascoma. It was clean and spacious with great amenities. The kitchen was so well stocked from plates and glasses to a wide variety of cooking utensils and pots and pans. We’ve already decided we’re returning next year!

Great stay

Our family absolutely loved this house and all of the room as well as location. The trampoline and raft on the water were an added bonus. Many of us fished or swam in the beautiful lake. The owner was very responsive.

It’s really hard not to give this place five stars across the board! When we arrived, there was some kitchen cleanup that we needed to do in order to function in the kitchen. It really was a matter of people not respecting the property. In addition, and it is not the owner’s fault, the lake was really low, so it was a little bit of a challenge for us to use our boat. Next time we just need to watch the rain and it’s affect on boat use. We had a great family vacation! Andy is an excellent host and he is very responsive!

Perfect family gathering spot

We stayed with family for a graduation at Dartmouth College. The three bathroom made it easy for everyone to get ready at same time for ceremony. There was plenty of bedrooms and hang out space for us all to hang out together. Everything clean and well stocked! Very satisfied. This propert is a recommend.

Family Weekend

Wonderful home, perfect for groups.

Our ski team greatly enjoyed our stay at the Black Bear Lodge! We loved the convenient location, just a short drive from Whaleback Mountain and the beautiful views of the lake. Most importantly, Andy was a very responsive and understanding host to work with.

Black bear lodge was perfect for our family

I can’t say enough good things about this house. It was well stocked, had lots of towels and kitchen amenities. The house was quiet even though it’s near a campground and the road. The view from the second floor was beautiful and we loved the outside deck. We loved the large wooden table near the kitchen. We hope to stay there again!!

Great family friendly home!

This was our second year staying at The Black Bear Lodge with our large extended family and we had an amazing time. There is plenty of room for all of us and Adam is very responsive and accommodating. The kids loved the addition of the diving float!

Graduation weeked

Needed a large house for family and friends for graduation weekend. As it turned out it was just my wife and myself, most of the time. Great location on the lake and nice open layout of house for entertaining or larger groups (5 bedrooms). But also nice place just for a couple that likes room.

Fantastic weekend!

We rented this house as an annual Lake Weekend getaway with friends, and will likely rent again! First to mention is the location-- gorgeous house right on the lake, with a floating dock and big yard. We had the best time using the house kayaks, swimming to dock, and floating on the lake. We also grilled dinner on the deck and had fires in the fire pits at night. The house itself was perfect for our group of 17- a nice big kitchen & table to prepare meals, and many common spaces for relaxing. I would absolutely recommend this house, it was perfect!

The house was beautiful. There so much room and we loved that it has three floors with bathrooms on

Our family had such a great time. We did some boating and kayaking and the kids were swimming.. we all walked down the street to get ice cream. It was such a great time. There are stores near by so that’s very convenient. Andy was amazing to deal with. He always responded to txs or emails and he was very helpful. Spacious lake-side house

This house is great! We had four families together for a weekend, (seven adults and six kids), and there was plenty of space. Some houses have enough beds but you end up on top of each other, this was NOT the case here. There are two different living room type areas, a kitchen table that legitimately fits at least ten, and sufficient parking for multiple cars. The house is clean and in good condition. The outdoor space is lovely and the kayaks are a great bonus. The only negative I would note is that it is right on a relatively busy road, so the two bedrooms that face that side have some road noise. (It may not bother some people - I'm a light sleeper and ear plugs took care of it). I would definitely stay here again.

The BEST!

We just wrapped up our second year staying at this incredible home, and we couldn’t be happier! With 14 family members, finding a place that fits us all comfortably is a challenge, but this home nails it. The house is thoughtfully designed, making it feel spacious yet cozy. The lake views are absolutely stunning—our mornings started with coffee on the deck, watching the kids play in the water, and our evenings ended with the most picturesque sunsets. It truly is a slice of paradise. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and then some. From the fully stocked kitchen to the ample entertainment options, we never found ourselves lacking anything. It’s clear that a lot of care has been put into making guests feel at home. A special shoutout to Andy, the owner, who is just incredible. Communication with him is a breeze, and he genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need for a perfect stay. His attention to detail and dedication to his guests’ comfort are unmatched. This place has become a cherished spot for our family to make memories. We adore every moment spent here and can’t wait to come back again next year. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home with a stunning lake backdrop and a host who truly cares, this is it!

Beautiful, charming, fabulous location, perfectly equipped, FUN!!

We are longtime Home Away users so this review means something... and we are very critical people! This beautiful and well endowed home on the ever beautiful Lake Mascoma is the place of your dreams. It will easily hold eight adults and four children... and if you share bedrooms, 12 adults and six children. It has ping pong, two huge wall TV's, an immense kitchen/game table, a 2nd level large & lovely wraparound deck, a ground level patio, and a nice grass backyard that leads right down to the lake- just 50' away. Lake Mascoma is crystal clear & clean, we've been coming to it for years. You've got your own private 30' long dock, 60' beyond the dock is a brand new private swim float with diving board... and a plethora of kayaks! Did I mention a glassed-in viewing-sitting room on the 2nd floor (what a view!), a huge and comfortable living room, a magnificent well equipped kitchen, a huge walk out 1st floor entertainment area with ping pong, and another huge TV, with very comfortable seating for ten. There is a big stainless steel BBQ and a fabulous smoker, too! Two bedrooms on the 3rd floor are huge with two queen beds in each. Another bedroom, also huge, had one queen bed. Another bedroom, smaller, had a double bed. And the fourth bedroom has four bunk beds. All are delightful and very comfortable. The three bathrooms are very nice, too! The owners were friendly, professional and very responsive & helpful, too! If this place is available, grab it!

Perfect house for getaway

We went for a family vacation and we’re lucky enough to stay in this home. It was perfect with everything needed for a home away from home. The lake swim up dock was a welcome and incredibly fun addition. This is a perfect home for fun with family and friends. There is more than enough sleeping accommodations. Grateful for the time spent there with the fam.

Wonderful house

Our family has been going to different homes for our annual glamping trips for years, this house is one of the best. Plenty of space, the kitchen is well stocked, the entire house was very clean. The lake is beautiful. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Fabulous vacation spot

Gorgeous home with spectacular views. Our family of 12 had plenty of space. The kitchen is well-stocked, the bedrooms are roomy, and the pingpong table was a bonus for extra fun! The living room window, floor to ceiling, is a stunning view. The kids loved the dock and diving board out on the floating dock. For those with kids, bring water shoes, as it's a bit rocky at the shoreline. The water is also shallow for quite a bit, which is great for little ones. The owner was very receptive and addressed a couple of minor concerns in a timely manner. The house is close to the road, but soundscapes solved the night traffic problem. The yard slopes from the house down to the water so don't bring bocce! Bring your own ping pong paddles to ensure quality play. We had a great week and will rent again once our new grandbaby can jump off that dock!

Family vacation

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

It has become an annual tradition that my family host a ski trip and every year we are renting a place on Homeaway. We figure it was time to invest in a home where we had the best of both worlds where we can ski in the winter and swim in the summer.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Mascoma Lake was a great option for us because it has no motor boat restrictions and we wanted the freedom of bringing in motor boats if we ever desired.
