Riviera revisited

We stayed at the Riviera several years ago prior to all of the hurricanes. We wanted to revisit the area to see how the renovations are progressing. Our condo was in good shape. We were disappointed to not have a pool, yet were pleased to be notified before arriving that it was shut down. We did have to wait 3 days for our wifi to work. We survived and was a good lesson on how much we depend on it. The condo facilities were good, however knifes need replacement as they are extremely dull, almost unusable. The washer/dryer is extremely small, allowing for very small loads. Even with small loads, the washer became unbalanced making a very loud noise. You might want to have the washers balance checked. We also were looking for a small hand vac to help with sand cleanup. You might want to provide one. The beds were great. Air conditioning worked well. Our contact person was very friendly and helpful.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Riviera Club. We had been visiting Fort Myers Beach for fifteen years with a two year hiatus after Ian. Prior to staying at the Riviera Club we had stayed at Lovers Key on Black Island. At the Riviera we were closer to Santini Plaza, which is almost fully restored, and enjoyed the proximity to the conveniences there. The condo was beautiful with a million dollar view of the Gulf of America which we thoroughly enjoyed from the screened in lanai.The beach reclamation project has been finished and the beach is remarkably larger.The unit was very clean with very comfortable beds. We appreciated the fact that the couches were very comfortable and not upholstered in fabric, as that can be uninviting with all the lotions that people tend to use at the beach. The people at Riviera are lovely and the pool is one of the largest and best we've found at Fort Myers Beach.Carolyn at Coastal Beach Vacations was great to work with. We look forward to returning!
