The mountains are calling! Escape to cozy Blue Hour A-Frame and unwind in a peaceful setting. Blue Hour has been updated with modern amenities for your comfort. The fenced backyard is carefree for your pups to play in while you enjoy the hot tub and chiminea. Head over to Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, just an 11 mile / 19 minute ride away, taking you through a scenic notch along the West Branch of the Ausable River. Lake Placid is 20 miles / 35 minutes away. The HOA allows one *unoccupied* camper / RV to be parked.
Our updated A-Frame log cabin is nestled on almost one acre, surrounded by tall birch and pine trees. The main space is open with high vaulted ceilings and windows that fill the space with natural light. Here you can enjoy the living room with the cozy warmth of the propane stove, record player, smart TV, workspace, and dining area. The kitchen is well-appointed. Also on the main floor are the primary bedroom with king bed, bathroom, and a sitting room with a full-sized pull out couch where the washer & dryer are located. Additional sleeping is located upstairs in the loft where you will find a comfortable queen bed. The backyard is fenced so your pups can run and play while you relax on the deck or enjoy time spent by the chiminea. The hot tub is waiting for you.
We will contact you the day before arrival with your custom keypad code and welcome information through the booking platform’s message system and, if provided, to your email address. On the keypad, tap the house icon and then enter your code.
This property has an exterior security camera at the front door entry that overlooks the parking area.
PLEASE NOTE: The stairs to the second bedroom are shallow and steep. Stairs are present for both interior and exterior. Furniture should not be moved. Despite the deck having been cleared, pollen, leaves and pine needles accumulate quickly in this heavily wooded neighborhood.
The AuSable Acres neighborhood: In an effort to be a good neighbor, and adhere to the Town's noise ordinance, events and parties are not permitted. Quiet hours include 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. Please drive slowly and respectfully in the neighborhood.
Wi-Fi: Guests are asked to enter an email address and a phone number to access free Wi-Fi at this location. In accordance with booking platform policy, we use apps to facilitate our guest experience and these apps may request contact information before, during, and after your confirmed stay.
Underage drinking is not allowed. Smoking and vaping within the home are not permitted.
Please use the propane fireplace to supplement heat from the mini splits in winter.
Adequate parking is in the driveway; do not park on the street or in the yard. We ask that vehicles are limited to 3 and that number would include an unoccupied camper / RV. The HOA allows one *unoccupied* camper / RV to be parked and guests will sleep in the cabin, not exceeding our guest limit. Failure to comply will result in a $500 fine and guests will be asked to vacate with no refund. Please contact us to discuss if you would like to have guests visit.
Dogs are welcome at $75 per dog, per stay, up to two dogs. Unfortunately cats are not permitted to stay due to guests with severe allergies.
For your stay, we provide 1 roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 3 laundry pods, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, dish soap and hand soap. Please let us know if you need additional supplies. A washcloth, bathing towel and a towel for the hot tub are provided for each guest. A propane stove is in the A-Frame. You may want to bring charcoal for the grill. Wood for the outside chiminea is available at roadside stands and local stores like Stewart’s Shops in nearby Au Sable Forks.
Enjoy the chiminea, remembering to collect trash and be sure the embers are out. The hot tub should remain covered when not in use. Please be mindful when children are near the hot tub.
AuSable Acres Homeowners’ Association offers trails, Lake Eaton (not recommended for swimming), pickleball / tennis courts, and Ausable River fishing at the end of Signor Rd. Current NYS fishing licenses are required. If you plan to enjoy the amenities, please let us know and we will send you an image of the HOA pass; the pickleball / tennis court code is on the card.
We ask that Wednesday evening guests please place trash & recycling (flatten boxes) into the bins for Thursday morning collection; the collection company provides a walk-up service for them. Please flatten your cardboard.

• Turn things off.
• Be sure to close and lock all windows and exterior doors.
• Please check that the hot tub is covered.
• Please pick up after your pups. Thank you.
