Family vacay

Stayed here for a family vacation. We were notified an hour before our check in that the water heater was broken and being replaced but all would be taken care of and cleaned upon arrival. Repairs took longer than expected and we weren’t able to check in on time, which was fine, but a credit for the inconvenience was not offered to us. Dishwasher was broken upon arrival as well and manager notified but we didn’t have a dishwasher for a week with 10 people. Not a bad walk to the beach, but overall it was average and we wouldn’t want to stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected water heater and dishwasher issues during your stay. We understand how frustrating it must have been, especially with a large group, and we regret that we weren’t able to resolve everything before your arrival. We did want to share that the owner went out of their way to arrange and pay extra for a same-day hot water heater replacement — a significant and urgent repair — so that your family could still enjoy your vacation as planned. Although the repair took longer than expected due to flooding and the complexity of the work, we offered to let you put your belongings in the house at the original check-in time. We were ultimately able to have everything ready and get you into the home by 5:30 pm, despite the major challenges that day. We’re glad you enjoyed the convenient walk to the beach, but we’re truly sorry the overall experience did not meet your expectations. Thank you again for your honest review — it helps us continue to improve.
