Why Shannon Biklen chose Sunriver

We picked this particular home because of it's close proximity to the Village, Fort Rock Park, and the Sunriver Homeowners Swim and Recreation Center (aka The SHARC).

What makes this house unique

The reverse living arrangement of this house make a ideal for families to enjoy the feeling of being in the trees. There are two decks - one in the front of the house off of the kitchen which is perfect for grilling or having a morning cup of coffee; the deck on the back of the house is very large and really feels like you are in the trees. There is a peek of Mt. Bachelor from the back deck.

definitely would recommend this home!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in a few different homes at Sunriver the last couple years and Bachelorpeek was definitely our favorite. The home was extremely clean upon arrival, everything was labeled so no need to look around to look for things, linen closets and kitchen were very well stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the layout of the house is great for two families. The house was roomy, warm, and comfortable for everyone. The home is centrally located in Sunriver, about a 5 minute bike ride to the SHARC, and a 10 minute bike ride to Fort Rock Park and to the Sunriver Village. The street the home is located on is off the main road a bit and is great for little ones to ride bikes around. We would definitely recommend this home and will be staying there again if it's available!

Fantastic family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four was more than comfortable in this spacious and well-appointed home. There was plenty of space to have other family and friends join us and enjoy all that Sunriver has to offer. Most of our days were spent at the SHARC swimming (passes provided by the homeowner) or biking (multiple bikes were provided by the homeowner). In our down time, we did lots of reading and sunning on the large porches. The kitchen was well stocked and had good quality cookware. This is a highly recommended rental in Sunriver - we look forward to returning!

Perfect Sunriver Summer Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

My family of 4 and another of 3 stayed at Bachelorpeek for a summer family vacation in Sunriver. We were looking for a property close to SHARC, The Village as we had 3 teenagers with us who spent quite a bit of time there. The location was ideal for us. Not too close to the Village, but within a biking distance.

The accommodations were as described. We had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We had two adult couples, so the lack of a 2nd master was a bit of a downer, but we made due. The property was very clean and organized and stocked with all the essentials we needed (spices, paper products, etc). We really appreciated all the bikes that were left for our use. We decided to not bring our bikes up, so having them available was a great perk! We also made use of the BBQ and hot tub every night.

Our trip was filled with exciting adventures. We spent the first day at SHARC and the Village. The 2nd was spent on an all-day white water rafting trip down the Deschutes. Our third was spent on the Meadows golf course, followed by biking the river loop in the evening. Unfortunately, it started to rain with thunder and lightning on the last day there, so we spent it shopping and packing for our departure.

We get up to Sunriver every couple of years for our summer vacation and I will definitely be using this property again if it's available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and thought it was a very good deal for the money.

Relaxing Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

My husband, another couple, and I enjoyed our stay at the Bachelorpeek house last Thanksgiving week, along with a previous weekend in September. The location is ideal; just down the street from the sharc, and an easy stroll or bike ride to the village and lodge. Included with our stay were passes to the sharc and bicycles which made getting around and entertaining ourselves outdoors easy, convenient and enjoyable. The house can easily sleep 10, however we only had 4 people in our party both visits. Each room has adorable themes, very clean and comfortable. The great-room and kitchen are large featuring new sofas and a large solid wood dining table. The Kitchen is stocked with all utensils and cookware we needed and even had a few spices in the cabinets making cooking a breeze. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Bachelorpeek house and look forward to our next visit.

My boys said it was like a vacation in paradise

  • 5 of 5

We spent a weekend at Bachelorpeek and we could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The house was absolutely immaculate without feeling cold and sterile. The house is airy and light and beautifully decorated. My two boys (ages 9 and 11) had the best time in the hot tub, SHARC (passes were available for our use during our stay), and with the fleet of bicycles which gave them freedom to travel around the village. One activity that really tickled their imagination was geocaching -- kind of like treasure hunting. having access to so many bikes meant that our whole family could easily take off for a geocaching adventure whenever we felt like it.

The house is private and quiet but conveniently central to the SHARC and other activities. We took a short and easy drive to the snow parks and went tubing.

The kitchen is roomy and well equipped, so we were able to prepare all of our meals at the house. The dining room table seated our whole family, plus guests.

I give the highest rating to Bachelorpeek...it was an awesome place for our vacation.
