BrookView is an aptly named, enchanting log cabin atop a lovely brook. Set in the woods in Fair Mountain Acres and surrounded by rhododendron, but less than 5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock. This large 2,400 square foot, air-conditioned home provides three outside porches (all furnished with comfortable seating and tables for dining). The top back porch is screened and overlooks the brook. Along with the brook, the secluded one acre lot includes a fire pit for cooking hot dogs or smores with the family.

As you enter BrookView you will find a great room with living area with a two story fireplace, a kitchen and dining area. The living area has a large stone 2-story fireplace with gas logs and a brand new 60” HDTV with a Blu-Ray player and surround sound. The master bedroom is on the main level and comes with a king bed, 50” HDTV, and private bathroom. Upstairs you have the open loft that has a queen bed and overlooks the great room. Also, you will find an upstairs bedroom with a king bed, TV, and another bathroom. Downstairs has four full size beds set up as bunks, a den area, Smart TV, foosball table and full bathroom

This is a perfect location with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian Ski Mountain, the town of Blowing Rock, the Blowing Rock Equestrian Preserve, Bass & Trout Lakes, Linville Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, the Westglow Resort & Spa, the Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway, and much much more!

Perfect location to celebrate a family birthday. Home was clean and accommodated all of us. Setting is beautiful and a quick drive in town for a dinner out. Highly recommend!

My wife and I are originally from Kingsport, TN and Winston-Salem, NC, respectively. I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville while my wife attended Appalachian State University right down the road in Boone, NC. I think we have always loved the mountains. Therefore, in 2004 we designed and built this authentic log cabin for not only our family, but for your family, to enjoy. We have made many great family memories in this cabin. We have also enjoyed bringing both friends and family to Brookview. There are so many wonderful and varied things to do in this area. This is also the place just to sit by the fire or sit out on the porch.

Why they chose this property

One of the reasons we selected this property is because of its great location. It is so easy to get to from any direction, rain or shine. Everything you wish to do in this area is in close proximity to our cabin. The property itself is beautiful with the stream, the woods, and the rhododendron.

What makes this property unique

This cabin has been professionally decorated to make you feel like you have stepped directly in a home, rather than a rental. Many of the headboards, tables, nightstands, etc. have been handcrafted with wood directly from the property.
Not only is the cozy inside of the cabin so appealing, but also everything that is available right outside the front door. You can relax in the hammock, sit around the fire pit, play in the brook, or adventure out through the woods. If this is too much activity for you, rest in one of the rockers or swings on the porches and watch everyone else enjoy their outside adventures.
